i was watching cnn with don lemon back when ferguson went down. about 50 people, mostly black, were sitting around the room with 4 guys in the middle. 1 of those guys was white. the white guy said that race is still and issue in this country but that its nowhere near to what it was during the 50's, and like slavery (and he said it like "OBVIOUSLY")....don lemon stopped him and asked the crowd to raise their hands if they thought racism today was WORSE in America than it had ever been. ALMOST ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE RAISED THEIR HANDS THAT IT WAS WORSE TODAY. The white guy was like WAT. and even one of the other black guys on the panel was like WAIT HOLD ON WHY ARE THEY RAISING THEIR HANDS?

Clearly I didn't. I don't think acknowledging racism when it exists hurts your cause. While I've taken the time to understand what you are saying (mostly agree) you have to realize that most people won't.
