Strop the presses... Pedro is back today.

Arrieta pitches today. Hammel tomorrow and Lester on Sunday.

Go Cubs Go.

Cubs need to consider this series a playoff tune-up. Cards are playing for their lives. Cubs need to step up to the moment and put them away.

I dunno, I'm lookin forward to beating the cards again in the playoffs..I'd rather play the Cards over the Mets.

 The Cardinal fans here at work won't listen to The Score hometown broadcast so they pull it up on their MLB App and listen to KMOX.

One guy already turned it off.

I have no fucking idea why he's out there instead of Hazelbaker, who is Moss's backup out there and the best LFer we got. More proof that Matheny is a functional idiot. Makes Baker look like Connie Mack.

OMFG I can't watch this shit!

Let's see if Arrieta can manage not to give up 5 runs today.

Pat said in pre game that if the Cubs win today, they tie the most wins at Wrigley in a single season at 56.

They gotta take 2 out of 3 this weekend to break it outright.

So, as per usual during these two teams' games, Wrigley is almost certainly reasonably well populated with Cardinals fans that bought tickets early in the year, drove many hours from their homes, possibly even spent a night in a hotel, all to see that first inning.

:D

Hey Kolten, tell me how my grass tastes!

Shaq reference aside, it's video of the faceplant.

Pretty good double truck spread (2 page poster) in today's Trib Sports section of a day in the life of Wrigley Field. Nice pic of my guy Rocco Caputo the beer salesman. Been there 33 years.

They just replaced every blade of grass in Wrigley about 2 weeks ago...How do they keep that from happening all the time?
