50 years ago today Cubs host the Reds....Sweet Swinging Billie and Adolpho Phillips lead the Cubbies to a 9-3 win before a whooping 530 Cub Fans :shock:

I'm old enough to remember when they didn't sell tickets to the upper deck (probably so they wouldn't have to clean it), but an attendance of 530 is pretty amazing.

Today marks the anniversary of "Merkle's Boner" in 1908 ... coincidentally the same year Walt last had one.
