At the very least, Clevenger should know better than to put that on Twitter. Save it for the barstool or the locker room. If you tweeted stuff like that, under your real name, with your employer's name on full display, you would likely face some sort of discipline from them.
The people (not you, personally) that try to frame this as a 1st Amendment issue, should really stop talking. Or risk further exposing their ignorance to the world.
