Only if the plane crashes into Soldier Field during a reunion of every McCaskey family member. Jet fuel can melt shitty space ships. I'll also settle for someone doing the McCaskeys like the Romanov family. Put a bullet in the back of every one, smash their teeth out and dump them in an unmarked grave.

With CTE, the Cubs getting good and the Hawks having been good, not to mention fantasy football/Madden making people less tied to local teams in general, are we ever going to get to the point where the Bears are just, like, "that team your parents like" while a younger generation all but dispenses with caring about this team from week to week? WSCR won't ever reflect it because the kids aren't exactly listening to AM radio, but I could see it getting to that point. I never grew up with the Bears being the end-all-be-all of Chicago sports, not with Michael Jordan around. Granted, my middle school and high school were about 55/45 Bears/Packers.

For perspective, three graduating classes in a row will have gone through high school without the Bears in a playoff game.

Nah, I don't think so. I think the Bears young fans are still pretty enthusiastic. The Bulls could end up in that position though. Seems like more of a NBA mindset than NFL

Maybe they are trying to blow it up and are just doing a bad job?

I'm ready to call both the first rounders busts until proven otherwise, particularly White who seems as destined to wash out of the league in 2 years as anyone. Floyd may be good, but whereas 2nd year guy Eddie Goldman who is one of the few bright spots on the roster is only 22 undersized Floyd who needs a ton of work to bang in the NFL trenches is already 24. The rest of this most recent draft doesn't look particularly encouraging.

Whitehair is a 2nd rounder playing pretty poorly as an emergency center because 2015's 3rd round pick cant get on or stay on the field. Whatever, at least he's starting.

Bullard is a backup to Akeem Hicks and Mitch Unrien. That's not encouraging.

If Kwiatkowski were merely Freeman and Trevathan's backup that would be fine because those two are both decent veteran players, but Kwiatkowski is also behind Christian Jones and Jonathan Anderson. Bad sign.

Deon Bush cant get on the field over Harold Jones-Quartey, who is awful, and Chris Prosinski, who is even worse. Bad sign.

Deiondre Hall looks good and sees the field. Hopefully he drives Fuller out of town.

Jordan Howard cant surpass garbage ass Jeremy Langford or Kadeem Carey on the depth chart. Langford has looked bad and Howard still cant get on the field.

The dumbass safety they took in the 6th is whatever. You knew that was a bust the instant they made the pick.

Braverman is on the practice squad because he cannot beat out the likes of Cameron Meredith for a roster spot. BOOOO.

Why is Floyd even in on a goal line defense?

Cmon guys. Don't get emotionally invested in this season. Watch games to see if certain players develop. This team is destined for a top 3 pick. Which is the best possible scenario for the franchise.

Who's worse, the Bears or the Jaguars?

The bears will finish with a worse record and an easier schedule.

Do you think there's any chance John Fox decides to fuck this shit and retire at the end of the year? He's sick and old. He won't be here when the ship is turned around.

If Fox quits at the end of the year why the fuck didn't the Bears just promise Gase the job? How can you let that guy walk? I don't even want to think about it. It's so plausible it hurts.

That is totally a scenario that could play out. Yes, in hindsight they should have just hired Gase, but I'm sure they could find someone worthwhile to coach the Beara next year. Maybe Les Miles?

The best football coach in the universe other than Bill Belichick was available and they were never even in the running. There is no hope for them making a bold hire of a real coach looking to win.

Never say never if you have a top 3 pick.

The problem I have is how the guys who looked promising in 2015 like Amos, Callahan, Langford and Goldman have taken steps back (with the exception of Goldman). There's been no development of talent, and guys like Floyd and White who should step in a produce are developmental guys stuck with an org that cannot develop talent. The is no future for this roster.

Actually, I think Maddon was unavailable at that time.

It's been 3 games dude. At least wait half a season to proclaim step backs.

I didn't watch a second of the game and I feel great about it.
