I can 1-up that. I've seen adults out in public wearing fraternity rings.

Who even buys frat and/or school rings?

Yeah, look at those assholes associating themselves with their former schools, Boilermaker Rick!

I have no problem associating with other things I did as an adult.

Nothing wrong with this if you had a good experience. Some families send generations to the same school. It's the only permanence in an otherwise fast-food, mass-market, nothing-lasts culture.

Good experiences are hard to come by. Celebrate 'em while you can. Floss 'em if you got 'em. And other some such.

His kids go to that school and play on the sports teams now. we weren't in that town or even that area tho. we were at a locals, non-touristy bar in another bumfuck part of the state.

If he had been a mensch and wing-manned for me with the bright-eyes chick's decent blonde-cheerleader looking friend, he wouldn't have been outside smoking alone and then shit doesn't go down the way it did. But nooo,he can only talk to women at the bar that he wouldn't be interested in if he wasn't married, or something like that. Cuz he was talking to the bartender girl's mom the entire time I was chatting up the bright-eyes chick.

he didn't have to hook up with blonde cheerleader-looking friend. he just had to keep her entertained while I chatted up bright-eyes chick. married guys can still talk to girls at bars, can't they? I dunno.

I'd say marrying Sofia Vergara outweighs four TDs.

Al Bundy married Peggy Wanker/Katy Segal.

Time to study up, champ!

I assume if you met him at purdue he was completely shithouse drunk. I don't know anyone with an Orton story from purdue that doesn't involve him being drunk as a skunk.

We have people from the city of Chicago that still brag or care about the high school they attended too.

I'm sorry you grew up in the suburbs.

Conns! Bringin' the city. Nice job. I suppose that it's hard to understand it if you didn't experience it.

It has to be one of the best experiences of your life you want to have a deep life long connection and sense of pride with it. As you said "It's the only permanence in an otherwise fast-food, mass-market, nothing-lasts culture". It must have been so cool going to the same place as your parents! By the way, I did too in the suburbs. I don't know why that would be considered so cool.

If you have ever explored with your fingers then you know 2 inches is more than enough if you know what you're doing.
