Trump seemed more interested in marketing his properties than attacking Hillary or making good points. He wasn't even entertaining.

HOLT: ... why is your -- why is your judgment...

TRUMP: Wait a minute. I was against the war in Iraq. Just so you put it out.

HOLT: The record shows otherwise, but why -- why was...

TRUMP: The record does not show that.

HOLT: Why was -- is your judgment any...

TRUMP: The record shows that I'm right. When I did an interview with Howard Stern, very lightly, first time anyone's asked me that, I said, very lightly, I don't know, maybe, who knows? Essentially. I then did an interview with Neil Cavuto. We talked about the economy is more important. I then spoke to Sean Hannity, which everybody refuses to call Sean Hannity. I had numerous conversations with Sean Hannity at Fox. And Sean Hannity said -- and he called me the other day -- and I spoke to him about it -- he said you were totally against the war, because he was for the war.

HOLT: Why is your judgment better than...

TRUMP: And when he -- excuse me. And that was before the war started. Sean Hannity said very strongly to me and other people -- he's willing to say it, but nobody wants to call him. I was against the war. He said, you used to have fights with me, because Sean was in favor of the war.

And I understand that side, also, not very much, because we should have never been there. But nobody called Sean Hannity. And then they did an article in a major magazine, shortly after the war started. I think in '04. But they did an article which had me totally against the war in Iraq.

And one of your compatriots said, you know, whether it was before or right after, Trump was definitely -- because if you read this article, there's no doubt. But if somebody -- and I'll ask the press -- if somebody would call up Sean Hannity, this was before the war started. He and I used to have arguments about the war. I said, it's a terrible and a stupid thing. It's going to destabilize the Middle East. And that's exactly what it's done. It's been a disaster.

HOLT: My reference was to what you had said in 2002, and my question was...

TRUMP: No, no. You didn't hear what I said.

HOLT: Why is your judgment -- why is your judgment any different than Mrs. Clinton's judgment?

TRUMP: Well, I have much better judgment than she does. There's no question about that. I also have a much better temperament than she has, you know?

(LAUGHTER)

I have a much better -- she spent -- let me tell you -- she spent hundreds of millions of dollars on an advertising -- you know, they get Madison Avenue into a room, they put names -- oh, temperament, let's go after -- I think my strongest asset, maybe by far, is my temperament. I have a winning temperament. I know how to win. She does not have a...

As a few others have said, Trump absolutely annihilated her on bad free trade deals during the first 20-25 minutes, which are probably the most important part of the debate. After that, he spun out of control and embarrassed himself. It will be interesting to see what happens in the polls.

It's clear that Clinton has no answer for Trump's critique of the trade policies she has previously supported. He can take Ohio and Pennsylvania if he keeps hammering that message. I suspect that Clinton is still in deep trouble, even considering last night's thrashing.

He's really really smart you know. That's why he doesn't pay taxes or the contractors he hires. The law allows it. Smart!

1.) If you think a 70 year old man is blowing lines before a debate on live television, your nuts. He would have been screaming like a madman, bouncing all over the place, Looking like a monster.

2.) Yeah, the judgement comments, sigh. He needs to have more support in his responses, not just because he feels it to be true.

Yep. I told my wife 30 minutes in "I can't believe it. He's clearly winning."

Even when I stopped watching, I may have scored it for him. But the last 1/3 is where he showed his true colors.

That would be a bad choice of drugs. It wouldn't last the full 90 minutes.

Should maybe go with an ADD med.

Swallow one Adderall, and crush and snort another. That would have gotten him through 90 minutes easily.

It really is amazing how bad Hillary is at elections. This should be a blowout.

I don't think Hillary understands that a majority of undecided voters don't think things are better in the last 8-12 years. As everyone else has said, the only way for Trump to make the debates a winner for him is to keep steering back to that. Anything else, Hillary wins. I still see a landslide for Hillary, but if she keeps saying stupid stuff that makes it seem like the world is better today, that could bite her in the behind.

She can't say things are a disaster either because she risks alienating Obama voters. The world is going to hell and I am the only guy that can save it is wearing thin for Trump. Its clear he doesn't have a clue about the job he is running for. His only card happens to be "Hey vote for me I am not a politician".

I think it's pretty clear it's not gonna be a landslide.

All Clinton had to mention as retort to his "keep jobs here" rant is that the Donald Trump clothing line is all made in China and Bangladesh.

If she doesn't smile people complain about her looking too intense.

You know I've been quite critical of her, but I thought some of her expressions were great last night. She didn't display that snotty smirk that she so often has, but rather had a bemused look that suggested she was thinking, "Do you believe this guy is saying that?" It was especially funny when he said he had the better temperament. She just let him bluster like a goon proving that the exact opposite of what he was saying was actually true.

That's kind of a dumb thing for him to get hung up on. If he released the taxes it would fade away in less than a week. Every presidential candidate ever has released his/her taxes. Can anyone tell me about any of them?

President Obama made more money in one year from selling/optioning/what have you his books than he did in his entire career as a state congressmen?

Romney's effective net tax rate was either an admirable, absurd or criminal ~10%?

Jimmy Carter claimed Billy as a dependent?

Why am I feeling interrogative?

The way Trump disrespected Lester Holt will cost him the black vote.

Hillary wins 302-236.

He said he would release them after Obama released the long form birth certificate, which of course, he did. That was when Drumpf led the birther movement, but then he didn't, then he did, and now he didn't. Or maybe he did.

Without question. Now that he's broached it, will he go there during the next debate?

Edit: He's going there again right now with Brown-nose Hannity. I love Hannity saying that she appeared desperate at the end (mistakingly) attacking him for being sexist.

It would destroy his chances to bring that up. All women respect hillary for that scandal. She always held the high ground in all that. If trump called her out on it that would end his chances with any and all women period.

He brought it up again after the debate...the "nudge nudge wink wink"...when pushed on what he meant, he confirmed it was about Bill's indiscretions.

He said the only reason he didn't bring it up was out of respect for Chelsea.
He also implied that he might bring it up in the next debate. I'm guessing Hillary is ready for that attack. Something along the lines of..."we've been married over 40 years and like many long term relationships have had our ups and downs..." She could then segway into the irony of Trump bringing up a marital "discretion" as some sort of disqualifier.

My wife was on her computer and only half paying attention. After the first half, she looked up at me and said "Is Trump winning? It sounds like he is winning. How is this happening?"

He needs to stay on point if he wants to win.
