What about this guy? I don't follow politics or the news at all so don't know much about this stuff, but he seems like the best guy for the job. Why isn't anyone talking about him or voting for him?

So for those of you who follow this shit is this guy good? Seems like his party is fiscally conservative, but liberal on social issues which works for me. He also wants to legalize weed which honestly is all I needed to hear.

So say it with me....

Gary Fucking Johnson!

He's done a bunch of goofy shit like sticking his tongue out at reporters, suggesting inhabiting other planets as an answer to climate change, and looked like a dipshit with the Aleppo thing, although that was a bit more understandable than it was made out to be. Either way, he kinda fucked up his chance to be taken seriously recently.

He also was on a cable news show to talk about a terrorist attack and he didn't know that people were injured. Despite the fact that it had been reported for nearly 18 hours.

The party itself is viable and has a stance that I think a lot of people would gravitate to on many issues. Johnson himself is not a strong
candidate. If they could get a solid person in there for the next election we might actually see a 3 way debate next voting cycle.

Yeah, that too. "I'm just glad no one got hurt."

He seems bad, which makes him infinitely better than the one who will win.

He said climate change doesn't matter because the sun will engulf the earth at some point. Libertarians have some interesting views, but they fall apart under any scrutiny. Most of their solutions have been tried before. Such as having all road be privatized. It was really dangerous and difficult to travel anywhere in Europe of the Middle Ages.

Johnson has said in the past that he isn't a great national candidate. It's too bad really, we need a third choice now more than ever.

Not being a great national candidate is literally the most irrelevant thing someone can say about a candidate at this point.

not a good national candidate--why not run for U.S. Senate out of his home state? The odd-bird 3rd party Senators usually wield a disproportionate amount of power in the Senate. At least for general roll-call voting scenarios where it's close. Dunno how they handle committee assignments for 3rd party Senators. Might be better off for Johnson to run and sit as a Repub/Dem and get the perks of membership; while getting stoned and voting to increase subsidies to Hostess cakes and Dr Pepper.

I know. He's polling at 25% in NM right now. He would probably crush anyone there in a Senate race.

25%? dafugg. why's this turkey on any ticket. how'd they elect him governor over and over until he was term-limited out of office, ffs.

or is that 25% in a 3/4 way race with Trump/Clinton/Stein? Cuz if that's his approval rating in his home state, he needs to move.

That is his polling number in a 4 way race with Trump/Clinton/Stein.

25% in that 4 way is great; if he could get that number in a few more states, good argument for being in the debates.

the fact these 2 ind. candidates have double digit support tells you how unlikeable the two main candidates are.

If the legalize pot movement wants to have any credibility, they have to murder Gary Johnson. They won't because they're lazy.

He's a complete joke and he has set 3rd party candidates back a decade. Governor Weld has to be pissed he is on the bottom of the ticket. Weld has almost endorsed Hillary

Yeah, it's sad, too. Not only has he set back 3rd party candidates; he's probably wrecked the perception of Libertarians for MANY. I wonder who Scorehead is rooting for now.
