Yes, he has. We will be pining for him after he's gone. This narrative that he has somehow been divisive is ignorant.

I think the only reason we may be pining for him is because of the train wreck ready to roll into the white house. I generally liked him while disagreeing with nearly everything he did while in office. That's a tough line to walk but he managed to do it for me.

Yeah, I'm not sure how he's been "divisive". He's been fine on domestic issues. Saving the auto industry and bailing out the banks was the right thing to do, even if you disagree with some of the details. His foreign policy, however, has been marked by blunder after blunder.

That's what I mean, policy disagreements not withstanding. He has carried himself well, and even most who disagree with him on nearly everything are willing to admit that. Even if it wasn't a shit show rolling into the WH, I think he has generally been a pretty good "face" of the country.

My only minor complaint is that he was a bit too accessible. I don't care if the president does a late night show from time to time but I don't know if I need to see the president filling out a woman's NCAA bracket on TV.

I would agree with that. The one time I got tired of it was March Madness when he's filling out a bracket on ESPN.
