So, yeah, this guy seems like such a great idea. He needs to go back to the private sector, ASAP.

Trump is really hanging tough for a guy who has spent the week bragging about tax evasion and calling women fat.

It appears that Drumpf violated our Cuban embargo in the late 90's.

http://www.newsweek.com/2016/10/14/dona ... 04059.html

And here is his campaign manager admitting that it's true, but it was so long ago, and Hillary something something, so it's cool.

This story is everywhere, but no mention of it on foxnews.com, and breitbart called it a hit piece.

In the 34-year history of USA TODAY, the Editorial Board has never taken sides in the presidential race. Instead, we’ve expressed opinions about the major issues and haven’t presumed to tell our readers, who have a variety of priorities and values, which choice is best for them. Because every presidential race is different, we revisit our no-endorsement policy every four years. ... By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump.

We've been referencing the Frontline piece a lot this week. It is pretty striking that he hired women (and one's that were not objectively stunning) to be his top construction managers way back in the 80s.

I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm tired of hearing how this guy is some sort of alpha male.

Heard him again this morning say Hillary was very "nasty" to him. I don't care if "nasty" or "unfair" are common nomenclature for New York elitist bourgeois. It sounds unbelievably gay.

Ask and ye shall receive ...

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/298645-trump-check-out-sex-tape-of-former-miss-universe

Donald Trump went after a former Miss Universe in a string of early-morning tweets Friday, encouraging voters to “check out” an alleged “sex tape” of Alicia Machado, who has been on the offensive against the GOP presidential nominee all week.

During Trump’s first debate with Democrat Hillary Clinton on Monday, she mentioned old comments he made about a Miss Universe contestant, whom he complained gained weight after she won the crown.

Machado has since given a series of interviews slamming the real estate mogul as sexist, but Trump says Clinton was “duped” into ever bringing her up.

Wow, Crooked Hillary was duped and used by my worst Miss U. Hillary flyoated her as an "angel" without checking her past, which is terrible!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 30, 2016

Using Alicia M in the debate as a paragon of virtue just shows that Crooked Hillary suffers from BAD JUDGEMENT! Hillary was set up by a con.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 30, 2016

Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 30, 2016

Machado was photographed t0pless for Playboy and appeared on a risqué reality TV show, but fact-checkers have rated the claim that she appeared in a sex tape as "mostly false."

Trump has struggled with female voters throughout his campaign, a weakness Clinton, the first woman nominated by a major party, has repeatedly sought to exploit.

A major-party candidate is attempting to throw shade at his opponent by encouraging folks to check out titty pix of a private citizen.

(imho NSFW link ... wish I'd known that before   )

http://www.snopes.com/alicia-machado-adult-star/

(for those that don't want to click on it, at least now, the "semi-exact"summary)

WHAT'S TRUE: Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado made an allegedly risqué appearance on a TV reality show and was pictured t0pless in Playboy magazine.

WHAT'S FALSE: Alicia Machado has not starred in a series of pornographic films.

And it really seems bitchlike once you consider all of the things that he has said during the campaign. He has actively encouraged the murder of a political figure yet he is complaining about comments that he perceives as offensive.

He also encourages supporters to beat up those with dissenting opinions yet he complains about nastiness. There is absolutely no doubt that he is going to hammer Hillary Clinton during the next debate. He Is going to play dirty and If she can handle it she will handle it. I don't think she will complain much though. It's politics. Anything goes.

USA Today, of course, is the flagship paper of Gannett newspapers. Gannett owns hundreds of newspapers across the country; including several of the largest papers in various states. Gannett's in the process of buying the Trib and its large group of urban papers, including LA Times, Baltimore Sun, Orlando Sentinel etc.

http://www.gannett.com/brands/

Once upon a time, newspaper types took pride in being fiercely independent. Now they're mostly fierce about keeping their jobs; which means you're unlikely to get anyone working for a Gannett newspaper openly/in-print/in-bits countering the line from the mothership.

Having been full-on-libtard at the time (mostly due to the misguided and unnecessary and costly Iraq invasion), i recall that 99% of newspapers in 2004 endorsed President John Kelly for President over re-upping Bush-Cheney-Halliburton--made not a dime's worth of difference. Image

Interesting endorsement. They drop more paragraphs on how much Trump and Clinton both suck than they do endorsing Stoner Johnson.

It would have made more sense to endorse "none of the above".
