It has always been a January release. Why October now is homeland done?

Looks like both series have swapped start dates.

Yes that twin peaks. Was supposed to originally be Jan of 2016 but it is officially 2017 but no exact start date yet. Showtime has been promoting it and man it will be awesome. For me personally I have never looked forward to anything more.

Twin Peaks fell off hard in its second season, so it's hard to be too optimistic. I'm not a big fan of all these revivals of critically acclaimed shows that didn't get their due. Let sleeping dogs lie. Maybe it's a good thing Garry Shandling is dead.

In fairness it feel off hard because of the network. They forced a reveal of Sarah Palmers killer and after that Lynch left the show. There is no network involvement with this in that sense. This is also lynch's swansong on mainstream media, it's going to be something special.

Now I am not saying that this is anyone's cup of tea mind you. The second half of the second season though was purely a network fault as was the Fire Walk With Me edit. Granted Lynch shouldn't have expected a 3:45 length feature to make it by the studio.

I'm happy to distract little Liam here from the double boy grunts.

So pretty much everyone I know who has seen this show loves it and highly recommends it. I've knocked out the first five episodes and it's extremely underwhelming. It has some funny moments, but at this rate it's kind tough to keep watching.

Why is this show good, and does it get significantly better after the first half of the first season?
