I swear to God, my in-laws (including my wife) have a disease that prohibits them from actually leaving to go somewhere.

They had a trip planned to go to some pumpkin thing, and they were all supposed to go right when we got to my in-laws' house. We got here at 11:00; It is now 1:00, and they just managed to get in the car. I'm sure they'll be in the car another fifteen minutes before they actually leave.

Everything is an emergency, and everything has to be perfect before they can go. Oh, and they pack about 500 things to take with, none of which are needed. It's infuriating because it makes me nervous when they're getting ready for two fucking hours. JUST GO ALREADY.
I'M TRYING TO WATCH THE TWO WORST TEAMS IN THE NFL IN PEACE.

Anyone else know anyone that's bad with this?

I have already learned and adjusted the schedule
AT LEAST 30 minutes beforehand to deal with mine.

Which leads to, "When did the Bears game start kicking off at 11:30am?"

A couple weeks ago, we had a double event. Niece's birthday party at noon, wedding ceremony at 5pm. Tell her we have to leave at 1pm, to get home and change and be rolling by 4:30.

SHE is the one who has to see the ceremony, 1pm comes and goes, and we are still at the birthday party. We barely get there on time, only after I had to literally drag her out because she was going to take an hour to say goodbye to all her family at the party.

I feel your pain leash.

My wife used to be like this. She still struggles with it from time to time, but has improved by a bunch.

You have to instill a sense of urgency in them.

It's interesting that so many women are like this. It's even funnier because my wife will act like I am disorganized and unprepared. The truth, IMO, is that she and MANY women are just making life more complicated than it needs to be. If I forget to bring one small thing on a trip, such as my daughter's water bottle, you know what I do? I stop at McDonald's and get a water. Problem solved! And I was able to leave an hour earlier than she would have!

This happened to me yesterday. My wife had to change three times before leaving for a backyard wedding.

I just lie to my wife about what time we have to leave. Ill tell her 6:30 when I want to leave at 7. Then continue to to get on her about getting ready at 6:30 so she doesn't realize what I am doing.

When you said "you better not be late" you weren't talking about arriving at establishments.

No. I'm talking about when we have to be somewhere at a specific time.

I think IMU was making a pregnancy joke.

Anyway, my wife's pissed at me now because I told her how scattered and ridiculous her family is and how rude they are to constantly be late.

Couch for me!
