They just beat Illinois. That should have gotten him an extension.

Well I was a fan of this hire but give me Fleck if no better program takes him. Otherwise give me someone that throws a lot like Jeff Brohm.

Brock Spack is a reasonable expectation.

No big time program is going to hire him. He had Jeremy Hill, Jarvis Landry, and Odell Beckham Jr on the same team, and their offense was inept. Purdue seems like a great spot for him.

He will get skullfucked by Harbaugh and Meyer, but a job is a job.

I just don't see that at all. Miles will have better opportunities than West Lafayette.

Maybe. Is he a guy who needs to work, or does he want a specific job? I don't know. I just don't think he will get a big time job again. All he has to do at Purdue is go 6-6 or 7-5 and make bowl games, and the alumni will be happy. That is doable. Coaching any team in the big five conferences isn't a bad gig.

It is who they should of hired last time. Knows how to recruit and knows the midwest. Hopefully NIU lands him.

Les would be a bad fit. Fleck is still a MAC coach. They rarely jump to elite programs. Look where the NIU coaches ended up.

It would be tough to get him but not out of the realm of possibility.

It would take a monumental collapse for that.

I think he was the #1 target at the start of the year.

Charlie Strong will be available. Don't know if Purdue could handle having black-to-black head coaches.

I remember when Purdue couldn't wait to run Brock Spack out of town.

Brock Spack was not a good choice back then. No head coaching experience.

He may be a good choice now though there are better ones.

If they don't go for a big name, they have to offer something unique. They need to find an offensive guru to run a wide open offense again to lure quarterbacks.

That would be the coach at Air Force.
