I have friends who moved to Florida in the early part of this year, a little south of West Palm Beach. The whole winter & shitty spring she posted things about how nice it was there. Screen captures of the extended forecast, pictures of the temp on her rearviewmirror, them at the beach, etc. all with snide comments like, "nice in Florida today!"

Yesterday I posted a picture of the hurricane to her wall. I was unfriended at some point between then and just now

He is also the guy who had no sympathy for victims of Hurricane Katrina. They should have evacuated. I guess those poor people in New Orleans were supposed to pack up the Range Rover, and head to the summer home for a few days.

This is going to be a bad one. The forecast keeps getting worse and worse, and the track of the storm seems to be getting close and closer to making a direct hit on Florida. Meanwhile the storm in strengthening. Matthew will probably become a retired name. I don't think it will be quite as bad as Andrew, but it won't be that far off.

I think they should recycle some of the old names. Imagine the press if this was also named Andrew. Hurricane Andrew II: Meteorological Boogaloo
