It should be dry after tomorrow morning. A cold front will push thru and turn winds out of the north/northeast, which will drop temps to around 50, maybe into the 40s, for the two games. Saturdays game looks to be the colder of the two. The wind direction means that the wind will likely be blowing in left or left cetner.

An aside, this is the same cold front that will eventually make its way south to turn Hurricane Matthew out to sea. There is then a slight chance it could merge with Tropical Storm Nicole and make its way back towards the US Mainland. Ooof.

I did not know Hurricane Matthew could become a tag team with Tropical Storm Nicole. I'm guessing that superstorm would hit North Carolina? Not such a bad thing then.

A rainout is a disaster because that's another day of rest for Bumgarner. That's the only pitcher on that staff that scares me. I can't believe you guys are worried about Shark. I'd be more worried about SHARK.

The Mike O'Malley-looking SHARK is better-suited to be a Twitter DJ than an MLB starting pitcher, especially in the postseason, which can be seen on Fox, TBS, and the MLB Network (check your local listings). In fact, the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Texas Rangers in the first game of the 2016 MLB postseason this afternoon. First pitch scheduled for 3:38 PM EST (2:28 PM CST) with Brian Anderson, Dennis Eckersley, Joe Simpson, and Matt Winer covering the broadcast. Don't kill the messenger!

That is pretty good, footballteam. Next time try some quote and italics.

It's possible few, if any, dislike the idiotic chanting of goalie's names during a hockey game more than I ... that said, I wouldn't be terribly upset if a scene not unlike this occurred later this evening.

That was awesome. You can hear the crowd laughing when he drops the ball.

Ryan Dempster singing the stretch tonight? Whoever makes these decisions should be shot. At least it won't be on TV (assuming MLB network doesn't show it).

Did they place the Schwarber ball back on the scoreboard too?

This series is for Sandberg, Dawson, Maddux, Dunston, Grace and all the rest of the 89 Cub.

Hell, I hope Mike Bilecki gets a name drop this weekend.

sling.tv will give you a 7-day free trial of their Blue package. So if you sign up now, you can watch the NLDS games that are on FS1, and then cancel after Game 5.

Sling is legit. You could keep it through the NLCS. That'll be on FS1 too. I think it'd cost some fraction of $20/month.

I think the Cubs will win in 4. But if not, I don't think they can win a game 5 with Cueto starting and Bumgartner available in the pen even on 2 days rest.

The NFL's antitrust exemption stipulates, among other things, that all sold-out (that stipulation since waived) games have to be made available over the air in the involved markets. They also can't play on Friday nights when high school season is on or Saturdays during college.

There's no such clause for baseball, probably because no one ever anticipated that baseball would leave network television. This is bullshit. I bet lots of people don't even have Fox Sports 1.
