He was giving me flashbacks to EJ Manuel last night. Not good. I still like his grindiness tho.

This mock from yesterday has Kizer at #1 to the Browns and Watson at #7 to the Bears... Also has Kelly going to the Cardinals, which is a great fit for him under Arians IMO. No Kaaya in the 1st round round here.

Chad Kelly "involved" in on field fight at his brother's high school football game. His brother did receive a cheap shot to start everything. Idk what I would have done, but this could push Kelly into the 2nd round. Possibly benefitting the Bears.

This is from Walter Football on Kelly, currently listed as their 4th NFL QB prospect:

Quote:
Overall, Kelly's performances this season confirm his gun-slinger style of play. He has the arm to make any throw, but could stand to get more consistent in his field vision, accuracy and decision-making. While Kelly can't be blamed for his defense struggling in allowing comebacks to Florida State and Alabama, Kelly doesn't show the leadership and intangibles to push his team to tough victories. He doesn't have a killer instinct and gets rattled by pressure; both the physical pass rush and the mental/emotional pressure of critical moments in big games.

A short QB with added decision-making inconsistencies and, from what I hear, a douchebag demeanor. No thanks.

Kaaya is listed as their #2 QB prospect. And I like Mason Rudolph as a true pocket-passer in the later rounds.

The temperament issues are everything with Kelly. He obviously has problems handling highly emotional situations, and bringing him to the zoo that is Chicago media is a high risk option. Pretty sure it was his brother getting dragged across the ground and getting his helmet ripped off in the video. Like I said, idk how I would have reacted, but if I saw someone doing that to my little bro the fight or flight instincts would have kicked in.

Even though Rudolph shredded a shit show Texas defense last week, I still just don't like the look of him. I know it's petty, but he doesn't look like an NFL starter to me. Maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there, but I wouldn't draft him. Taking a mid round QB is a waste most of the time anyway.

Kaaya's big scouting test today against FSU will be a big indicator of how he handles pressure situations and big games.

At the beginning of the season, I would have agreed with that. We now know that Florida State's defense is brutal. Excluding their game against FCS opponent Charleston Southern, they are giving up almost 42 ppg.

Completely agree. I was more so talking about the big stage and expectations. If he has a mediocre game on a big stage against a doo doo FSU defense then you have to be wary about drafting him.

On a side note about FSU, I don't think Jimbo wants to be there anymore.

He should probably get out before the NCAA comes sniffing around. I'm surprised Hugh Freeze hasn't bailed on Ole Piss.

Yeah the NCAA is just disgustingly corrupt. Houston is having all this success, but it won't be long before the NCAA finds some dirt on them. God forbid Alabama or Texas are ever investigated for anything.

In fairness I saw three (2 title games & an opener when no other game was on), and I didn't/still don't think much of Wentz. The play was slow, the talent thin & he didn't stand out tools/athleticism wise. I didn't think he measured up to Steve McNair, but hey, what do I know?

I hope the Bears take Kelly. I think he isn't prepared to be an NFL QB, and doesn't seem to be a team player or leader. Actually I now wonder about all of Hugh Freeze's players until further notice.

Kizer really struggling today. Lots of bad throws. Can't handle Bear weather.

TIL Brad Kaaya's mom played Felisha in Friday.

He also appears to have gargantuan hands, which has shown strong correlation with completion percentage in the NFL.

Big hands is a major plus for the next level, but accuracy isn't the knock on Kaaya. It's his arm strength.

I saw a couple games with Wentz as well, and I thought he was a project at best. Skyrocketing to #2 was completely over rating the guy in my book, but I was very wrong about him so far.

Don't wish Ryan Leaf 2.0 on the Bears like that. He could be there for the Bears in the 2nd round, but as of this post I wouldn't take him in the first.

Dude got a molar knocked out earlier in the game. Great throw on the TD to tie the game.

knowing the bears luck they'll eventually find a "super value" college QB who they figure has first round talent/potential at a 3rd-4th round price and go "All In" like the 2011 White Sox....

...and you just know his name will be Jake Utler.

I'm absolutely scared to death of this scenario, and the fact MANY Bears fans are for it.

Week 7 review:

Deshaun Watson: Lit up BC on 14/24 passing with 266 yds and 4 TDs. Also had 28 yds on the ground. Clemson won 56-10. Handled his business, and looks to be finding his stride after the Louisville game seemed to wake him up.

Deshone Kizer: Um... 9-26 for 54 yds and 1 int with 15yds on 15 carries. Was also sacked 5 times in a 10-3 loss to NCSU. Even though he's probably gonna take some hits on draft boards I'm not freaking out about his draft stock because he played in hurricane Matthew. The quality of play was a shit show for both teams. What I don't like is he didn't find a way to win.

Brad Kaaya: Lost a tough game to FSU 20-19. Kaaya was 14-24 for 214yds with 2 TDs, 1 int, and one lost tooth from a helmet to helmet targeting play by an FSU defender. His final stat line wasn't that impressive, but he did battle throughout the game showing toughness after losing that tooth. He rallied the Hurricanes to a touchdown late that should have tied the game if it weren't for the blocked extra point.

Chad Kelly: One on the field fight against high schoolers at his little bro's football game.

Jbi11s draft stock:
Watson: up
Kizer: down (still my top choice)
Kaaya: same
Kelly: down (on a fucking bye week)

Damn..... I wouldn't want to pick from that crop. Kelly is probably the best of them but he is such a shithead that you are basically getting back a guy with the same likeablity of cutler.

It's Kizer or bust for me, but these are 4 guys who are going to get a shot to start early in their careers IMO.

Agreed about Kelly. Idk if his attitude is going to translate well in an NFL locker room.

You guys are nuts.

"Swag" will be the best pro of that group.

I hope the Bears get him.

He's the anti-Cutler.

Kelly has the personality and demeanor like Jim McMahon.

Bears fans will love him.
