Right. Not sure why some feel every fan has to have RFDC-colored glasses regarding their own team or else stop talking about them. It's sort of normal to fear/expect the worse as a sports fan. I'd imagine that feeling may be heightened as a Cub fan.

It's funny that you guys are laughing about this when this series exemplifies small sample sizes. The Cubs starting pitching has as many RBI as the Giants team. Do you think that the Cubs pitching staff are a better hitting unit than the Giants starting lineup?

They actually had to go out and play badly. It isn't a sample size. It is how they actually played.

I am not all positive. I just dont constantly bitch about the negatives.

Rizzo has been absolutely awful and needs to get his head out of his ass. Maddons handling of the pen last night was terrible. He clearly overthought himself.

The difference here is that at least he has a basis for being negative. The Blackhawks won 3 in 6 years ( same as the Giants) yet in every series they play he thinks they have no shot.

I love CH but in fairness to RFDC, CH has said the same stuff about the Hawks. While they were busy coming back in series and winning Championships, CH was calling them out. It was funny but made no sense most of the time.

CH would of told us the 98 Bulls were mentally fragile and would lose Game 7 to the Pacers.

That's just how he fans.

Cubs are different though. 108 years.

This sums it up pretty well. The Cubs are different no doubt and I dont fault people for being negative and expecting the worst from the cubs. 84 and 03 leave a huge imprint that overshadows all series. I get that.

I give CH a ton of crap about the blackhawks but I can handle his negative thoughts there better because at least he is around all year watching every game and he knows so much about the league. Here he convienently shows up in times like this series to bitch and be negative. And he has said more than once he is no longer a fan.
