for fucks sake... i had an idea whats going on in the middle east, but that was an extremely good take on it.

what stood out the most though, to me, is russia's intervention in syria. russian, assad's syrian regime, and iran are forming a coalition. I remember an interview just a month ago stating the united states is being pulled into WWIII and nobody knows it yet... I now see what he meant by that... and now I get why obama wont go into syria despite a whole mess of people crying for it. We go into syria, its not basically declaring war on russia, it IS declaring war on them.

also, what putin has done this summer proves the cold war never ended. yikes.

Iran has tacit approval to develop nuclear warheads and they have the missile tech for intermediate range missiles.

Also, yes, Obama was right not to start the long march, the time for direct intervention was at the outset. Now you've armed the enemy. Although he may have had a bit more flexibility if he didn't let his vanity dictate the unilateral withdrawal from Iraq.

Best move at this point is maybe not to play at all.

no. he made the decision to prolong nuclear war for the tradeoff of instigating secular war.

which would you choose? those were the only two options.

The latter may lead to the former in the end
