They have a new streaming service.

Anyone try it? I am doing the free trial, which it put some of my purchased cds into my collection.

With Spotify being near perfect...I'm not sure what these other services offer to differentiate themselves?

You can buy your fresh meats and produce at Walmart too!

I am not saying Amazon is the be all end all. And I would not put Amazon in the category of WalMart.
I get what you are saying.

Recently, I've become more and more in love with 'specialization.' And specifically, I've been a happy Spotify Premium customer for three years or so.

I've been lazy and have used Apple Music because it is easy as hell and intergrates my collection in. Is spotify that much better? I used Spotify before pro came out. To me I used amazon a few years ago and it seemed reallly clunky to me.

I've not tried Apple Music.

Spotify is simple, has all of the music, high bitrate streaming, scrobbles to last.fm, has good playlist curation when trying to find new music, etc etc. The last thing it needs to become perfect is an Equalizer.

I don't really want to have to worry about finding an internet signal to listen to music in the car.

Spotify is great with their "Discover Weekly" playlists. They take my saved songs, and song history and put together a very solid playlist every week of stuff they think I will like. I've discovered MANY great songs listening to that playlist every week.

On the other hand, I had Google Play Music for about a year, and I thought their recommendations were horrendous. The app was also clunky as fuck, so I dropped them. Google Play had a little more music though. Spotify doesn't get a ton of love by MANY musicians.

Well, that just killed the Spotify market on here.
