Anyone else partaking this weekend? We are hitting a lot of downtown/Near North Saturday, Edgewater/Rogers Park/Evanston on Sunday.

Funny thing is that I've largely missed out on more places nearest me out south than I have in the Loop/no. side. My middle school was big on architectural tours & such.

I may hit a few of the close in spots I've been curious about for 35-40 years. Thanks for the notice.

I know we have a reservation at Testa Produce. I'm not sure where else we're going. We'll probably end up in Evanston/Rogers Park because it's close to home. I think Rotary International may be on the list (perhaps by RSVP). The U.N. followed the Rotary model for its meeting room layout and interpretation system. It's pretty interesting but I'm not hitting that one because I've been there too many damn times.

Yeah, the Rotary is on there, I don't have much interest in that one. The funny thing is that working for a catering company and knowing a lot of building engineers and tradesman years ago gave me access to a lot of the downtown/Near North/U of C spaces, like more than half of them, the cool ones like Perkins & Will and that Methodist temple across from the Daley Center. It's why I can often tell what building a picture was taken from by the view. We're doing a lot of churches and galleries and stuff this year.

I don't go for any of this nerdy architecture stuff, but I'll be happy to party at Sam's crib now that I know he's going to be out most of the weekend.

I'm sure you were disappointed that Jeff Tweedy's urethra didn't make the list this year.

Sounds like fun. I won't be in town.

I'm pretty sure that a couple of my co-workers have been to this in the past.
