There's an old guy that lives in my building who is all crippled up. He is almost doubled over at the waist, but God love him, he gets out with his walker and goes all around the neighborhood in his stupid fuckin' Cubs cap. He and I often go back and forth about the Cubs and Sox when we see each other in the hallway. When I saw him this morning he was moaning in pain as usual until I said, "Hey, how 'bout them Cubs? They're almost there." And this motherfucker got so happy it almost made me want the Cubs to actually win. Almost.
