kershaw tends to be solid/pretty-good but definitely not 100%-proper-kershaw when he pitches on the postseason (which always ends up being on short rest cuz the dodgers never end up in good sitautions and always need him to try and bail their ass out) and then b4 those 2 outs in the 9th in game 5 NLDS his postseason era in the 7th inning/+ = 28.63--- that props up my theory that kershaw runs out of gas by the time the postseason comes around.

this year he got a couple'a months off from the season due to a bad back, so he might be a bit fresher. still, the way the dodgers always end up i doubt we'll ever really get a chance to see kershaw on proper rest in the postseason.

Blanton has had a good season for the Dodgers but a manager should see right away when a guy doesn't have it that night.

For a guy who throws 103, Chapman has really given up some big hits to left handed hitters .

Clever. I think we see the Reason you don't post often.

How about...fuck you, you sanctimonious, Rhode Island sized, fucking awful baseball decision defending, fucking baseball rube?

Yeah, I'm sanctimonious because I wasn't blaming an impending loss on Joe.

No, you're usually an assbag, defending Joe's awful fucking game decisions notwithstanding.

I actually like you, though. That reflects poorly on you, however.

He has now allowed 10 of 17 inherited runners to score.

He almost got out of this jam though. Should have thrown a slider.

He's tough starting off an inning though. Hope they can resign him.

the only batter who could have got a big hit on the dodgers was the guy up, gonzales. that's baseball though. blanton makes one mistake pitch and that's game. that's how close these playoff games are.

I initially was creeped out by this panel earlier in the post season but I love watching them now. Arod knows his shit and his personal experiences are relevant. Pete Rose is perfect in the clown role. Frank has the John Salley thing down.

The thought kind if turns me on.

I was actually in disbelief for a good ten seconds, and by that time, IMU was already circling the whole place.

You can't bring him in with runners on. Odds are low that someone connects with him, but if they do, it's going hard and/or far. He can withstand that with no one on.

A Gon is a great hitter. You can't blow him away...you have to lure him into swinging at shit and making an out. I knew he was going to be a bitch to get out. He and Ruiz scare the shit out of me but they both run their age. Puig can hit chappy but he is too stupid to do anything other than run into something by chance.

O'Hare was landing to the west tonight, so on my flight's approach I got a great view of Wrigley all lit up and full in about the 5th inning, from about 2500 feet. It was absolutely spectacular.

the powers that be should let me moderate since i don't have a horse in the race. my 100% neutral perspective (only tainted by childhood memories of the 1980s-1990 cubs and a technicality where jody davis was my first favorite baseball player cuz ???) = only i have the requisite perspective to give everyone a fair shake, and yes, i even know the rule where more than 3 shakes = you're jerking off. #MamaRaisedAGoodBoyMmHmmYesSheDid

No, no, no ... Lester was on top of his game ... removing him was the worst decision ever apparently.

Davey Martinez putting the fielders where he did each at bat saved Lester from getting yanked a lot sooner, because what I saw was a lot of hard contact followed by a superior defensive play OR like, say, the one where Rizzo was closer to second than first was right there to gobble it up.

Enough of that stupidity ... the only thing that matters is they won ... as a team ... top to bottom.

But we've seen this before ... and then some ... one win away with three games to go ... five outs away with a game to spare ... when we get to four outs away, then we're looking at something new ... but I have every expectation that's what will happen ... and then some.

Yeah DT,I feel like that, too. I have prepared myself for failure,so if they win that's a real bonus. At least some bats came to life tonight.

Wait ... no. Don't prepare for failure; that's terribly irrational.
