Odd complaint.

Yeah I dont get the bitching about Chapman pitching. You do what you need to do in order to keep it a 1 run game.

Kershaw was great. Hats off to him.

Cubs are still fine. Our pitching is way better overall.

They barely won the Kershaw/Jansen game.

It's over. This is so great.

Can't hit if umps zone is 4 inches off each side of dish for one pitcher and the other gets nothing. Cubs in 6.

Yeah, I feel good about it. Just is frustrating that you had the Kershaw game right here for you.

Awful effort combined with a shit zone, not a good combo. Rizzo, Heyward, and Russell are killing this team. Joe can sit Russell or Heyward at any time

dude, he's the best pitcher in baseball. by a pretty wide margin. AND he was having his best season ever by a pretty wide margin b4 he hurt his back (herniated disc) on june 26th. he missed ~2 months because of that, so basically his arm is ~1.5 months fresher than it was in just about every other postseason where he was always pitching on short rest and prone to staying in games too long and becoming mortal.

this is what happens when clayton kershaw is able to pitch like clayton kershaw in october. the cubs literally had the 2016 NL ERA CHAMPION (pfft.... lolwat?) go out there and only give up 1 early/1st-inning(?) solo shot to adrian-gonz.... but when clayton kershaw is out there at full strength doing his thing, man, that's hte best pitcher in baseball.... and even with that out there they could only manage a 1-0 win over the cubs.

don't choke/fuck-up game 3. if arrieta can even hearken ~75% of "god mode arrieta" the dodgers would need a miracle to pull out another one like they did tonight. you just kinda tip your cap to the best pitcher in baseball and move on.

Passive approach is costing them against pitchers who throw strikes.

Wasn't that impressed with Kershaw. It felt more like his legend cast a shadow over the game instead of his actual pitching. Cubs hitters looked defeated before the at-bats even started.

yeah, i know a lot of guys are scuffling and good ol adderall russell can use some of his namesake to help FOCUS cuz his .067-and-plummeting gimmick has ppl telling me baez should start @ SS ASAP. that said, while there's still work to be done and whatnot... you can't really beat up the cubs all that much tonight cuz they just got kershaw'd by the best fucking pitcher in baseball (who agian was en route to his best season ever b4 a 2 month BACK INJURY knocked him out, which ends up helping him this october cuz his arm has ~1.5+ months worth of less mileage on it so even with the dodgers' annual "kershaw on short rest cuz he is our only hope!" shitshow he STILL is capable of going out there and doing this..... imean who woulda thunk it, especially when in his NLDS Game 4 start he gave up like 1-2 runs in ~6 innings b4 he unraveled in the 7th to give up 3 more.... but still, if he somehow finds his groove and his rhythm THIS IS CLAYTON KERSHAW!!! THIS IS WHAT HE DOES!!! THERE'S NO SHAME IN LOSING A 1-0 CG SHUTOUT TO CLAYTON FUCKING KERSHAW!!!!!

FOCUS!!!

You must play for the Cubs. HE'S THE GREATEST. WE COULD NEVER BEAT HIM. HOW COULD WE POSSIBLY GET A HIT OFF THE BEST PITCHER IN BASEBALL. AND KENLEY JANSEN IS THE BEST CLOSER IN BASEBALL. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO HIT A 95 MPH FASTBALL RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE? IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. But we will be fine as long as we don't have to see either of those two.

No team in baseball was hitting Kershaw tonight, esp with that awful ump.

The offense will be fine with the rest of the Dodgers starters and pen minus Jansen.

dude, i know that i'm the one-man clayton kershaw ALS right now in the wake of a cubs loss so i'm going to inevitably look like a fool.... but isn't the fact that this guy managed a 1-0 complete game shutout on you when "you weren't that impressed with him" PRETTY FUCKING IMPRESSIVE IN IT'S OWN RIGHT?!?!

seriously, if you're saying the dude was pedestrian and he still managed a 1-0 CG SHO.... i mean.... that tells you something right there! yes obviously the cubs offense isn't doing fuckall for large portions/stretches of games... but go figure i didn't see too many people bitching about the offense at the end of last night, eh? =D

Huh? He pitched 7 innings...his era is high in the post season for a reason, the cubs approach sucked tonight..the ump huge inconsistent zone compounded the problem..

Zobrist really fucked up any rally they could have had against Kershaw. He takes those first two pitches it's 2-0, 6 straight balls by kershaw. Coulda shoulda. Let's give some credit to the Dodgers. Sometimes the other guy beats you.

Would have loved Soler in LF & Almora in RF with Zobrist at 1st.

Maddon's "go with what got me here" philosophy is the bane of a lot of former managers who never won the big one.
