What's with the Doyers thing? Sounds like Herb Lawrence calling Northwestern the Mildcats or Detroit Detoilet

The series is tied at one a piece and the Cubs have Arrieta going up against Dick Hill, and then Lackey going up against TBD (Urias likely).

The Cubs are in a good situation. Go out and perform.

Go Cubs

I wish this was 2-2-2-1.

That being said, Cubs should win 2 at Dodger Stadium if the offense can muster more than 4 baserunners per game.

That would take away home field advantage in Game 7 though.

Old school was always 2-2-1-1-1.

Log a lot of air miles doing that.

And lessen the chances of it going to Game 7.

Meh. I still want game 7 at home if you've earned it.

What about 3-3-1? A normal baseball series is three games during the regular season. Then you get the final game at home if you need it.

I was driving just a few minutes ago and feeling down about the Cubs loss yesterday... and then I looked up and saw a place called FOCUS eye care. It was like seeing Jesus in a dog's ass.

Over 162 these things even out. Over 7 they mean next series or golfing.

Nothing to be down about. Cubs win in 6 as I thought all along.

Game 3 with Jake is one of the few times where I think he'll do well. He's probably in the Dodgers heads a bit as he's owned them last year or so. I expect a pretty good outing from him.The Dodgers, however, have shown the ability not to swing at shit and wait for a walk so Arrieta might have some issues if they keep taking pitches out of the zone. 90 pitches by the 5th inning, something like that.

We need a new stadium.

When Gonzalez hit that, I went "nice, routine fly out" and then I saw the outfielders giving up on it.

Fuck you, Wrigley.

Didn't Baez' home run barely make the basket against SF?

It's going to be a struggle for Arrieta. We need to hit Hill. Dodgers are going to score runs.

For the opposite reason.

any Cubs fan who

a)mentions their stadium and a loss in the same sentence
b)mentions bad umpiring and a loss in the same sentence

should be sentenced to being a Sox fan.

The 08 Cubs were better than the Dodgers too. Guess what, they lost.

When the Cubs lose, this is the order of my vitriol.

1- Rizzo.
Reason: All this MVP talk, and you look like crap. Some of your swings are pathetic.
2- Russell.
Reason: All year, we had to hear that he was clutch (and it appeared he was). So he has been disappointing in the games that matter, i.e. the playoffs.
3- Heyward.
Reason: You really should be number 1, but I am so used to your light hitting suckage that I have slotted you at number 3. We just expect bad from you game in and game out.
