*hic* That's Eladsyrd...

Yeah, and another thing, no one can do a good Harry Caray voice anymore. Harry's voice was deep and raspy but everyone just does him like a demented clown.

I used to be able to do a pretty good Bob Uecker but WTMJ's Mr. Microphone night signal means I can't really listen to Brewers games much anymore and I've kinda lost it.

I don't see the Cubs winning tonight. I don't trust Arrieta.

Interested in seeing any lineup/batting order changes.

I have to think that most Cubs fans think it would be pretty cool to see the Dodgers win the title in Vin's last year. The Cubs have 5 years or more to win one. Let this one go to Vin.

You're fluent in some dialect that has zero clue of proper Spanish pronunciation. Maybe that is some small sect of Mexicans. But don't take it from me...

 I studied textbook Spanish for twelve years.

Are you really gonna keep going here? What type of Spanish do you think Latino Dodger fans speak?

Chus linked the article that explained it for you.

You're ignorant. Again. That's cool...use this to rally the board around you again and try to take shots at me. You're wrong. Yet again your small world has you clueless of other ethnicities.

I didn't need 12 years to study Spanish. It took me 5. Scrub.

I'm going to rely on my own knowledge and the testimony of Mexican American Dodger fans and bear writers over your "I have Mexican friends."

Did you just google "doyers" and post the first two results?

So IMU, where are you saying Doyer comes from considering the Dodgers went as far to trademark it?

This is simply a battle you can't win with me. Because you're a big mouth who doesn't know shit. Let's look back at the thread. I responded politely and explained a fact to you. You came back like the little prick you are and now I'm beating your half-a-brain in.

You rally the board against yourself by constantly being a fucking douchebag.

Poor IMU.

It'll be better after Jake wins tonight.

Could all this have been avoided if it had been spelled Dawyers? I think we have Brian Hoyer on the brain and it's getting us tied in knots.

I'll say that IMU may be correct about its usage as a spelled word. I can see how that might be offensive to some. (Although as a someone of German descent I was never offended by "Der Shting".) It's not a word that is really ever spelled out like that. And it probably shouldn't be used in a cute way by Anglos outside of a conversation in Spanish. But of course, the Dodgers are just trying to monetize everything.

Did anyone ever tell Terry the German national team is called Die Mannschaft? Seems right up his alley.

We have enough trouble with IMU using English. Please don't tell me we are going to have to decipher his Spanish.

I think they're the Dragons now, right? There are a lot of great high school nicknames in Illinois- Centralia Orphans, Freeport Pretzels, Hoopeston Corn Jerkers, Cobden Appleknockers, etc.

It is clear that this can only be settled by the one common person we all know that speaks Spanish correctly and uses all the proper inflections, Dan Bernstein. Bring it to the radio show.

I took Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 in high school, and then I took Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 and Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 in college. I didn't learn much but JORR is right.

Yes, they were the Dragons even when I was in school. Everyone always hated Pekin because they'd have two or three kids who were only on the team to be dirty. They would only beat you if they could get under your skin. They would also always have a crowd full of drunk, scummy parents who would yell the whole game. When I found out they had an offensive mascot until a few years earlier, it wasn't the least bit surprising.

Let's hear it for the best high school team name, my high school team name, the Badger Badgers. I hear the football team got good this year! Maybe people go to games now.

My sister went to the University of Wisconsin. When she came home after her freshman year we got into a conversation about badgers. She asked me if I knew how big a badger was and I replied that I thought it was about like a skunk. She started laughing and said that Bucky the Badger was at the Madison Zoo and it was the size of a five year old child. Incidentally, I think the Badgers are named after a nickname for miners. I'm not even sure badgers are native to Wisconsin.

I may have taken a Spanish class or 2. I've used Rosetta Stone and I have a kid that is in an advanced Spanish class. All of this clearly makes me and expert. In my expert opinion they're both right.

I'm pretty sure all the badgers move to Wisconsin at the start of adulthood and became huge douchebags.
