Hawks look good. Go up 3-0 on a perfect power play.

Hossa at 500. I was hoping he'd get it last year but good for him.

And he's not wearing underwear according to Pat Boyles.

That cup underwear look uncomfortable. Anything ever poke out or go out the side in those things?

And according to reports, drunk Cubs fans are waking up with used condoms in their asses.

That's unfortunate. I'm glad I woke up to see we scored 7 goals to win.

High scores and blown leads seem to be the way of things to start a season where most good players were in Bettman's Backyard Olympics rather than having structure and discipline drilled into them at training camp. This could put a lot of system teams way behind the 8-ball by Thanksgiving: Ducks, Jets, Blues, Panthers, and Coyotes are the first to come to mind. The Hawks could be freelancin' it out there for a while.

Yes, weird happenings to start the season all over. The Canadiens dispatched the Pens 4-0 quite easily starting 30 seconds in.

Didn't watch because of the Cubs but seeing the box score was quite a thing.

It showed that a team could come back after being down 4-0. Just not the Cubs...

fun game to watch, great to see the Kane line get going. And Hossa's 500th was awesome, so happy he got that at home...sucks he missed the rest of the game and didn't get to come out for his 1st star curtain call and interview.

Schmaltz continues to get better each and every game. Hino has a great motor but no hands. Should be in Rockford or on 4th line. Motte has played pretty good, but you can tell hockey IQ isn't his strongest skill, but the good news is you can see him trying to make the smart plays out there. Unfortunately, it backfires sometimes. Last night, our D man got caught behind the net, Simmonds got the puck and was all alone coming out from behind the net with the puck. Motte was closest defender, but refused to move from his defensive spot in the slot and just stood there as Simmonds walked out from behind the net for a shot on net. You could tell Motte was determined to keep his defensive structure which is great, but when plans breakdown players need to be able to read the play and react. Hopefully Motte loosens up a bit and reacts more out there.

Forsling and Kempny continue to impress while making the occassional bonehead turnover which is to be expected from a couple rooks.

It's getting better, plus I think 3 of those PK goals came on the same 5 on 3 vs Nashville. So sample size.

They had a pretty massive kill last night in the 3rd when they were up 5-4.
