I think its fairly obvious the Anthony Hopkins has spent years creating a park that sexual deviants and people who want to kill come to in order to get their rocks off. It would appear its only a matter of time before Hopkins upgrades the robots enough to fight back and take out the people who he sees as disgusting.

My wife thought that they shrunk all the guests and that the map was the park itself.

It seems more to me like Hopkins sees himself as a God. So he wants to create something more. He wants to create the next life form. He even stated that humans were "finished". Other characters also hint that the park has a higher purpose.

Episode 2 was pretty solid and definitely expanded the universe.

Man in Black found part of what he was looking for and Mauve got a deeper understanding of her existence.

Anthony Hopkins is gonna turn out to be the villain in this.

I'm thinking Ed Harris might end up the good guy in this if the hidden meaning to the park is a training ground to eventually replace humans with androids. He might be in the process of sniffing that out.

I'm digging this show. I wasn't sure after watching the pilot. But after rewatching it and then this 2nd episode, I'm in.

I need to watch Ep2 again. I enjoyed watching the process of the newcomers entering Westworld. You know that gun is going to kill a real dude, probably the one guy killing his brother in law somehow.

I think Jeffrey Wright might be a robot. If I remember correctly, in the original with Yul Brenner and Richard Benjamin some of the robots were made by robots.

I thought one of the big reveals in the last episode was Jeffrey Wright and that lady are working (and fucking) against Hopkins character. Hopkins is like the CEO who stayed too long.

I'm pretty interested to see where Harris' story goes.

I think he is for sure. Hopkins says something about knowing how he thinks. And then the woman in bed talks about the way the robots talk that seemed to allude to it in some way. I have to watch it again.

Yeah I think he said "I know how your brain works." He also was fascinated by the way Delores is evolving and told her that and told her others there wouldn't be as understanding.

Seems like the maze is their for the robots to get out. Not sure if they go to work for Westworld labs afterward or what. A lot of people think Hopkins scene with the little boy was him building a young child model after himself as a kid. The ultimate goal could be to have them replace humans or bring back the dead.

The Maeve scene was pretty unsettling. The preview for episode three suggests shit could escalate quickly next week. I hope they don't rush it too much. Agreed though, great show so far.

Think it puts the kibosh on the "Bernard is a robot" speculation.

Dolores breaks from her routine and the stray nearly killed the Daniel Baldwin of the Hemsworth clan.

Bernard has got to be a robot. I think in the first episode one of the people in the lab comments to Bernard that he doesn't have a kid at home. Which is a very odd thing to say to a person whose kid died from some unknown ailment.

Also Bernard's kid's tragic death seems like an awfully contrived backstory. Oh and his dead son looks suspiciously similar to the kid who told Delores that she wasn't real.

Dude is totally a robot.

I took the synthesizing of the MIB with other characters in the "thoughts" of the robots as a sign the MIB is a liberating character for them. He is trying to embed the trauma in their memory so indelibly that it cannot be scrubbed and they will recognize that actions in their lives are repeating. They then can break the cycle, as the woman did by hiding the gun and shooting her attempted rapist.

MIB is the robot psychotherapist.

From the "Indian scalping, gun doesn't work etc" nightmare I took it as the nightmare was simply placed in her memory to disguise what actually happened to her. But, after the "virus" was passed to her from Dolores she is able to strip away the facade and start to see what is actually happening. The owner/operators said as much when talking about why they "dream" and have nightmares.
