I’m actually fairly jazzed about Horse Teeth tonight.

He’s not going to be scared out there. The Dodgers strike out enough that if he gets rolling early he’s going to be tough to beat.

Go Cubs

Who gives a shit about the Cubs pitching? They haven't scored a run in two games. If they do not score early, it won't matter how good the Cubs pitching is, because you can't win without scoring.

The Cubs pitching just needs to be better than the Dodgers pitching and the Cubs will win. It's not complicated.

Focus on the hitters in question and that average age drops significantly.

To clarify, the Cubs have the second youngest position players in all of baseball, by average age (27.8). If you isolated just the starting players, that average age plummets and the Cubs would have the youngest lineup by far.

That includes the pitchers. They are not the problem.

Montero said they have a young team. The truth is they are in the middle of the road.

Arrieta and Lackey haven't exactly been world beaters in the postseason.

They also have older, veteran hitters who are not hitting. The young team thing is a terrible excuse.

This has nothing to do with age. They have plenty of "experience" playing baseball.

Dr. Teeth is gonna come out pitching what's left of his balls off tonight and Cubs will win 4 1.

They need to stop with the redundant "Lackey is playoff tested." OK... he's also been terrible the last 3 or 4 playoff starts. He has it in him to pitch well, but his "experience" at this point is vastly overrated.

I would suggest you not look at his road playoff record if you wish to keep a positive attitude about this evening.

Lackey has one career postseason road win, in the 2013 ALCS.

Overall, Lackey's teams are 2-6 in road playoff games he has started. It was 1-6 until the Cubs incredible comeback against the Giants.

Angel Hernandez behind the plate tonite.

Despite what may be posted here, the umps are not winning or losing this series for either team. But I must say its absolutely absurd that this guy gets a postseason assignment.

We're fucked. He's still bitter about Mongo shitting all his garbage umpiring in '01.

Strike zone is going to be heavily slanted for the Doyers.

Throw in the fact the Dodgers haven't lost to a right handed pitcher since early September I think? If he can hold them to 3 in 5 I'll take it.

368 days ago he pitched 7.1 shutout innings against he Cubs. Better or the same to what people have been blowing Kershaw and Rich Hill for.

He's pitched in a couple of World Series, has two rings. Nobody here is saying that the Dodgers are going to forfeit because John Lackey has some post season innings under his belt. Lackey is still a good MLB pitcher, who because of his experience won't be overwhelmed by the moment.

That's the point.

It's a bad point. I'll take talent over "experience." It's very overrated.

I hope he does well tonight, and he's capable of it, but his experience means very little... especially since a lot of it is bad.
