No. It's residual hate for past sins basically. He still is a goof but if he was that bad he wouldn't be the lead Fox broadcaster for baseball and football.

I look at each team's gameday thread over on Reddit and invariably both sides incessantly bitch about how biased Joe Buck is against their team ... it's astonishing really.

I've never thought Buck was necessarily biased... the thing I don't like about him is his insistence on being a PBP guy and an analyst. He's also a bad analyst. He has been blasted by players for this before too (I seem to remember Peyton Manning telling him to leave the analysis to Aikman).

Last night was a perfect example... Contreras had the interference call, and immediately after, Buck says "Lackey no doubt now wondering in his mind how that catcher's interference could impact the inning"... to which Smoltz basically had to come in and say that Lackey isn't thinking about the catcher's interference for one second now... he's thinking about getting out of the inning.

Isn't that how most sportscasts have moved though? Two guys talking more freely rather than strict PBP and Analyst? I blame Michaels/Madden and later Gruden.

During the game Buck was talking to Lester in the dugout. I thought he was kind of a douche to Lester but Jon took it in stride and replied very well.

Would like to see Buck and his smarminess interview Lackey in the same manner.

I don't see the biased Buck, I just think he sucks at his job doing pbp or as an analyst on NFL or Mlb

How big is Larry King's phone by the way?

Does he have a full size handset cell phone?

Buck isn't biased. He's just a giant douche. There's zero warmth to his play calling. He wants to be the story of an important moment rather than the play itself.

His younger wife never goes with him. You guys should read up on her exploits (rumors).

I heard Mrs. King used to have extra curricular relations while her hubbie was live on the air.

Certain that he would not return home to catch them.

Joking aside - Larry King's Dodger love goes way back to the Brooklyn days so I gotta respect that about him.

I guess you have to hand it to old Larry. All that money might change my perspective but I can't get my head around having a hot wife 30-40 years younger than me at an old age and not being obsessed with the fact she is just a gold digging whore.

He should just get a girlfriend too.

I hate taking Contreras out of the lineup but Lester needs his blankie.

Man, I don't even know anymore. They scored 8-0-0-10. Your guess is as good as mine.

The Cubs were hitting Maeda in Game 1...could have scored more than the 3 they did off of him. Hopefully if the bats are slightly awake... Cubs can get an early lead and take some pressure off / continue their momentum.

I'm not in love with Heyward at #6 though.

Lester shouldn't need a ton of run support.

BIG game tonight.

Wish they could get Castillo in the lineup (Z in RF, Castillo in LF). But I think Lester should be okay.

Yesterday definitely lifted the spirits. Hopefully, the offense will continue tonight.

First time in the playoffs the entire lineup contributed. Feel good moving forward.
