Kershaw on extended rest makes me feel...not so fresh. The cold weather should really suppress scoring on both sides.

This year we set the spirit of Kerry Wood (and his personal services contract) free.

Hey CH, Lester has the 2nd lowest ERA in post season history. Is that ace enough for you?

Went to bed at 11:45 and was up for work at 4am. I'm tired and sore but if there is one time I won't ever give up its the playoffs.

I'll sleep on travel days.

Bosio was on M&H this morning. He sounded miserable... let the guy sleep and put him on with Goff and Spiegs or B&B.

He mentioned that Chapman wasn't even really pitching, he was trying pitches out and experimenting with stuff.

I heard Bosio - that was a rough listen.

However, Grandpa Rossy was also on M & H and sounded wide awake.

Wait a minute... I'm tired so this just hit me. Chapman is out there "experimenting" with pitches?!? In a NLCS Game?!? Who turned this into Dexter's Laboratory?!?

Ross was on M&H in the 6 oclock hour...I was still trying to wake up so I'm not exactly sure on the time, but it was a decent interview.

If they flew home after the game the party may not have stopped yet. They were getting off the plane balls deep in hookers at that point.

Their post game commitments probably lasted until around 12:30a... joining Fox, MLBN, etc. Get to their airport on a flight departing at 1:30a... 3.5 hour flight has them landing at O'Hare at 5:00a.

I'm still trying to understand Dave Roberts. How do you not start Kershaw last night and leave yourself the option of using him in game 7?! It blows my mind. You've got an off day today...how do you not bring in your best reliever in a high leverage situation?

That being said, I'm sure glad he didn't do either of those things, and instead trusted a guy who got roasted the last time he was in a high leverage situation. Thanks Joe Blanton, you've completely redeemed yourself from you and Dan Haren never becoming Mulder and Hudson.

You cannot pitch four times in ten days and be effective. They were fortunate his Game 2 didn't bite him in the ass...and he may have been assisted by what was a total shit Cubs offense at the time.

I know it seems pointless saying it now, but he was beatable in Game 2. Eric Cooper was atrocious and the Cubs hitters had fallen asleep.

how he does tonight will tell me what the Dodgers should have done. A guy whose slider and curveball are his best pitches does better under short rest.

It was very weird to not use Jansen.

You've done it. You've changed the game of baseball. You've revolutionized a stale sport by being the first to figure out that any pitcher with a breaking ball should start every few days. Well done.

I'm surprised no one else figured out this sure fire way to victory.

Good chance Kershaw pitches a perfect-o tonight.

Tomorrow night? Not so much.

I think the Cubs win tomorrow night.

My favorite Dave Roberts moment was when he let Javy face a lefty because Jason Heyward was on deck. Javy flew out, but the decision was ridiculous. Literally anyone in his bullpen gets Heyward out yet you left Baez see a pitch from a left.

not being able to have a serious conversation with you is a shame. Obviously you don't want to do that a ton. But a guy who's stuff is based on spin and trajectory, pitching short every once in a while can sometimes be a good thing. I seem to remember Jon Lieber being that way, for example.
