I understand that. I hope you guys realize how wildly unrealistic this is and how dumb she sounds saying such a thing.

No people do not understand this. Regardless of party or candidate people never hold them to either their projected increases in revenue or their proposed (sometimes not even formally proposed) cuts. Presidential candidates promise a lot of shit they know will never get through congress.

It's just going to be a very easy thing to hit her on in 2020. She literally has a zero percent chance of fulfilling that promise, and she's said it several times over the past month, and I think three times in the debate.

It isn't likely that she will offset spending with tax increases but, she doesn't sound dumb though.

Saying she won't add a penny to the national debt is a more unrealistic promise than anything Trump or Bernie ever promised. Stop being so partisan all the time and just admit that this was a stupid thing to say.

FF I think you believe she is saying that the national debt won't increase.

I figured that was what you thought. She isn't saying that.

She said word for word "I won't add a penny to the national debt." That's her quote verbatim. I realize her campaign is trying to spin it by saying she meant to say she won't add on any more past the amount it's already projected to increase by, but that's not what she said.

You're wrong FF. I watched the debate and I've heard her say the same line repeatedly. She wants to invest in our infrastructure and says she will offset that spending by tax increases. The debt will go up if no one spent a dime on anything.

Of course it will. That's why she sounded so stupid. And I'm not wrong. She may have meant something other than what she said, but she did, in fact, say word for word, "I will not add a penny to the national debt."

She probably meant to say the deficit.

check this out in 2016.

Trump making people laugh, including Hillary, & Chuck Schumer.

Everything seemed so civil. I think everyone at this time still thought Trump running was a joke, and that there was no way he would win, and he'd go back to a life of being friends with Democrats and Republicans alike.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bmvxx_YbDsM

Hard to believe shortly after this there was so much eternal hatred for Trump.
