Wow... sports are really an awesome thing. Look outside of Wrigley. You can hear the crowd behind Buck. This is awesome. Thank God for sports with all the other national "news" we have to deal with. Win or lose, this is just great shit.

Tonight is Mrs GF birthday. We were supposed to watch game together but her sister just dropped by unannounced. They are now in the kitchen gabbing louder and louder as I continually turn up the volume. :x

Somebody dial 911 and report a double murder... I'll take care of the rest.

Your reaction is the correct one. I'll make the call. Let me know if you need a place to store anything.

Cannot let him off the hook or it will kill momentum.

still tho, man oh man, the cubs have to AT LEAST get 1 more run here. don't let kershaw off the hook with just 1 run here... if you can get 2-3+ off of him while he's finding his groove that can be of PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE later in the game!

thereyago! 2-0 cubs! #CubpacalypseNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This inning is like Rocky 4 when Rocky hits Drago hard enough to cut his eye and draws blood.

Kershaw is human...

btw, i want all of y'all to #NevarForget who, of all people, was the one guy in this thread after game 2 tellin all y'all to calm your tits and not worry about losing a 1-0 game to the best pitcher in baseball (even tho i was distracted and thought kershaw had a CG shutout because i didn't see/notice kenley come in for the last 2 innings) because yes, the cubs had their chances to grab a run or 2 off of kershaw but they just missed out. go figure that this turned out to be a decent little slump (aganst lefties? against the best pitcher in baseball and a guy in rich hill who had a legitimately 100% BASEBALL MAGIC season out of nowhere?) and the cubs would come back and do their thing.... and now after 2 games with 10 and 8 runs they have the confidence to jump on a couple'a early opportunities off of kershaw and now it's 2-0....

...and you just gotta hope to god that the dodgers continue to not be able to hit lefties (ask colin cowherd) and that hendricks can prove why he's the NL ERA leader even if it's on a technicality; also never forget that while i'm a bigtime clayton kershaw guy i'm not gonna ever sit here and say that he's 100% for-sure $$$MONEY$$$ in the playoffs until he goes and pulls a bumgarner en route to a world series (my dad was actually telling me yesterday that BUMGARNER, and NOT kershaw, is the best pitcher in baseball. i was just like "ha, i got both of them on my team!" =)

TLDR = sit back, relax, and strap it down. i told y'all there was no shame in losing a 1-0 game to the best pitcher in baseball, and even tho rich hill ended up being the goods.... man oh man. i'm honestly worried if the cubs gotta go against rich hill tomorrow (before we get to the whole arrieta side of things) but you know.... with THIS team? idk man. compare this to 2003 and point out parallels all you want: the 2003 cubs were just a playoff team, the 2016 cubs are the best team in baseball. they have a much much MUCH better chance of winning

suffice to say that is a GINORMOUS run at 3B right now. a 2 out "pick me up" of a basehit/forced-error here = HUGE because it puts you out ahead of a proverbial "bloop and a blast" so i mean, hey, come the fuck on wacky willy contreras! in the immortal words of larry the cable guy GIT-R-DONE!!!!
