holy shit... i call up the baseball uncle right after the final out, and as we get to talking he's like "welp you called this in 2011 jimmy, so i gotta give you credit" and i'm like "what?" and he goes "don't you remember? you were having your spaced out time traveler adventures and you told me about the cubs winning the 2016 world series and maybe something about starlin castro?"

so like, i'm thinking that he's fucking up a memory of that old starlin castro HOF plaque from a few years back (the one that had him winning the MVP en route to the cubs winning the 2017 WS, along with another one in 2022) but indeed, if you lot remember i DID technically have "spaced out time traveler adventures" back in the late 00s / early 10s so i mean.... either i prophesied this cubs world championship, or my uncle is misremembering that starlin castro HOF plaque, or perhaps i time travel back from the future at some point and make contact with my uncle in 2011 and tell him about the cubs winning the 2016 WS?!

idk, and now that i've outed myself as wanting this to happen and i'm talking liek the 2016 WS is a forgone conclusion, yeah, i'm shutting up now. but hey, at least one family member who's been teetotal for a good ~15-20+ years seems to have some vivid memory of me calling the cubs' 2016 WS way back in 2011. take that for what you will (i'm personally rooting for future-me traveling/communicating back to baseball uncle in 2011 and spoiling the 2016 WS just to fuck with him..... cuz now the paradox = since i've found out about this now i'm going to possibly look for a way to either travel/communicate back in time and go to 2011 so i can tell my uncle about 2016.... fucking paradoxes! =)
