This has to be one of the top rated world series right? I mean even people that don't really dig baseball would have to be fascinated by seeing the Cubs in a series...
Or is that my Cubs egocentricism showing?

Give Frank a break, he does not have much else to hold on to right now. At least he is a likeable Cub hater unlike some of the others.

What is it about his posts that makes you want to say that? I mean, it's definitely there. I can't read a post of his without thinking "what a fucking simpleton asshole."

He's a cocksucker. Probably a Trumpet, too.

I said it was going to work out this way and it's going to be a good long run with this club, so get used to me enjoying it and you and the rest of the Sox fans wallowing in misery with your 2nd rate team.

I'm sorry, I don't speak racist, cocksucking, horse fucking, mic sniffing, failed cop, shitty painter dickbag. So, as I was saying, go fuck yourself, troll.

I been reading a lot on the Indians and looking over their roster and stats.

It seems to be the only area that they are clearly better than the Cubs is the bullpen.

The Cubs appear to have the better lineup and starting pitching.

I will say Cubs in 6.

I gotta give the edge in pitching to Cleveland, they just shut down Boston n Toronto and made it look easy..I'm hoping Cubs win, I fear we go down in 5 or 6.

No doubt they are on a great run. They are very capable of winning this series.

It should be a dogfight of a 6 or 7 game series. I really don't know who is going to win. It should be really fun to watch.

I suppose if I had to pick I would say Tribe in 7.

The Indians starting pitching doesn't worry me but that bullpen is legit. Cubs need to feast on the starters. Tomlin and Bauer need to devoured so the bullpen won't matter.

If Salazar returns I imagine it's in a Urias role as 4-5 innings tops. But he can get really wild so if Cubs don't chase then he can be got quickly.

The Indians are really good baserunning team and won't be to chickenshit to steal bases. Controlling the running game will be key.

The Tribe having to play NL ball for 2 games minimum could be huge Those stud bullpen guys might not be able to go 2 innings if they're due up in the order.

The thing about the playoffs that no one but the most astute fans talk about is the importance of getting ahead in the series, and then closing out it before your opponent does. I would love to see the Cubs in 5, so they can have yet another amazing party in Wrigleyville, but to do that it's going to be really crucial for them to hold Cleveland to no more than one win. That being said, even if we don't win in five we should be in good shape if at the end of every game we score more than they do. With so many variations on how the Cubs could win, this is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing matchups in history.

Yeah, I'm a Lil nervous about the speed and aggressiveness coming Lester's way..not sure how he will handle it.

I really hope Fox shows the opening ceremony of the WS. I don't think they do anymore. I want to see that especially at Wrigley. For those of you who don't know what i'm talking about, the first game at each park, they introduce each leauge champion. All players on the first base and third base sides. It's what makes the WS so special. I don't know why they don't show it anymore. I haven't seen in in years. I just hope they show it this year.

FS1 showed it for the NLCS. I'd imagine Fox will air it for the WS.

Gotta think Francona knows Lester better than Maddon n any other skipper in the game, I'm assuming he has these guys bunting, stealing and pressuring Lester the whole game..this could get ugly.

It is bullshit that the Cubs with 103 regular season victories (the best record in the major leagues) have to relinquish home field advantage because of the results of the All-Star game. But it does make it possible for them to clinch at home if they can take 1 or both of the fist pair in Cleveland. Still, the home field should revert back to going to the team with the superior regular season record.

Maybe the 12 Cubs on the All Star team should have tried harder.

Its a dumb ass rule, like almost any rule initiated by that boob. If the WS is going to be home field winner than the fans can't vote anymore, not every team can be represented and the manager with the best record gets to pick his team.

They have to make a call on Bauer. If he can't pitch you're killing a roster spot. I just wonder because they sent him out there in the ALDS obviously believing he was going to be able to pitch. And even if the umpire had ignored the blood and allowed him to keep going it appeared as if he was having trouble locating.

Someone already broke this down quite well. Home field in the WS was never determined by best record. It was alternating years. I never realized that...makes the rule much less idiotic.

Steve is dumb enough to think that the Cubs' 103 regular season wins in the NL is par with teams playing in the AL. How many more games against sub .500 teams did the Cubs play than the Indians? I know they played about 50 more than Boston.
