yeah, they were an annoying team. and they always started the season slow, and then made a big rush in the second half to push into the playoffs it seemed. i was glad the sox beat them, and swept them. happy that they got to clemens early...there wasn't much to like about the astros.

i'm glad they're out of our division/league.

I hate the Cubs and hope they all die along with most of their fans.

Also haven't watched a single pitch of the playoffs, but then again that's been true since 2006.

You're touching on the thing that disturbs me, particularly with regard to some of these celebrity Cub "fans". There's the promotion of the idea that only their interest makes the Cubs significant. And that ties into the attendance talk. I don't question Bill Murray's bona fides as a Cub fan, but he does manage to project this feeling that, "Well, I'm here, now the game can start."

Bill Murray wasn't at Sox playoff games like Cusack, or wearing a Sox hat on TV like Vedder. He gets points for not being a phony.

Yeah that's true. I never remember any Sox fans that were celebrities growing up. Mostly local politicians. 05 happened and they came out of the woodwork. It rang hollow to see that.

Murray did the same crap in 2005 when the Illini were in the Final 4. Was all over the place in St. Louis. Haven't seen him at anything Illini related yet. F him, the Cubs and their fans. I hope they all choke on someone else's vomit.

Edited to add that the Cubs Tea Party owners can also all die from choking on the lesbo daughter's dildo.

Once the Sox changed their team colors yeah they wore Sox hats. Wouldnt consider them to be fans of the team. They probably couldn't name a Sox player from that era.

So they were like most Cubs fans before 2010.

They didn't begin wearing Sox jerseys or hats until they changed their Colors. They had no allegiance to the team.

I like the red White Sox uni's and cap.

I was a fan of Chuck Tanner's White Sox and how they always battled those classic Oakland teams.

He has been photographed MANY times wearing a Sox hat. That makes him a phony in my book.

Vedder is not a phony anything. He was photographed 20 years ago wearing Sox hats because he is friends with Jack McDowell. You can put whatever you want in your book, Chus. In this particular case, you are putting in false information.

Corgan ripped on Sox fans the day they blew up the Bartman ball (or whatever ball that was). Later, he said he was pulling for the Sox. fuck him.

I don't wear logos of companies that employ my friends. Where is the Sox hat now? Are he and Black Jack no longer friends? Was there a bad breakup that sent him running into Theo's arms and skybox? Why did he wait until the Cubs were good to write a song about them?

There are questions.

There are questions.

He may or may not be friends with Black Jack. What you wear or dont wear has nothing to with this.

Eddie has shared a stage with Theo MANY times for fundraisers, even going back to his days with Boston. Theo has also played along aide Peter Gammons among other notable baseball and music stars for various shows and chartiy shows.

That horrible Cubs song came out in 2008.

Eddie has thrown out MANY first pitches at Wrigley, attends MANY games each season (provided he is not touring), and has sang the 7th inning strecth almost every season since Harry Caray died. This happens regardless of the Cubs having a good or bad record. I have personally seen Kerry Wood, Mark DeRosa, Theo, Tom Ricketts, among other notable Cubs at Pearl Jam shows.

These are answers that further prove you wrong.

Right. I didn't mind Cubs fans rooting against the Sox in 2005. Who cares.

While I won't be mad if the Cubs win, since I'm not a fan of the Cubs, I think it would be cool to continue the 100+ year losing streak. I think that's also a remarkable story. Same way I didn't want the Red Sox to win. But if the Cubs do win, I'd be happy for some of you Cubs fans. Not all of you. Cuz some of you are ass hats.

This is the very excuse you made for why he wore the Sox hat. Now, it doesn't matter?

There are things.
