Only aces get personal catchers. I'm glad Maddon is starting Contreras. If Arrieta was throwing 6 IP and 1 ER every start, he can get Montero. But he wasn't.

Shit. Cubs are fucked. Per the Bernstein formula DoR (diplomas over replacement)

Quote:
Kluber (Stetson) > Jon Lester (Bellarmine Preparatory School)

Bauer (UCLA) > Arrieta (TCU)

Hendricks (Dartmouth) > Josh Tomlin (Texas Tech)

Kluber (Stetson) > John Lackey (Grayson County College)

Merritt (McLennan Community College) > Jon Lester (Bellarmine Preparatory School)

Bauer (UCLA) > Arrieta (TCU)

Hendricks (Dartmouth) > Kluber (Stetson)

Indians have an advantage in 5 of the 7 games. Fuck

I like Arrieta and Hendricks over the next two games. Cubs will go up 2-1 with the next two in Wrigley. Cubs only needed to win 2 of the 4 in Cleveland to almost guarantee the WS victory.

Kluber is an advantage over every pitcher on the Cubs staff. Saw that last night. He's a major advantage over Lackey, short rest or not.

not just in terms of ability and production

Kluber had a very distinct historical advantage over the Cub lineup last night compared to Lester versus the Indian lineup

I guess Coghlan didn't look bad enough so Soler gets to one up him tonight.

Lester is an automatic loss in the DoR because of a Catholic prep school

If this game gets suspended after 6 innings, it's a HUGE advantage for the Indians. Cuz then they'll have Miller tomorrow to go 3 innings to finish off the game and he'll have a day of rest after yesterday's 48 pitches.

The Cubs only need to win one Kluber game just like they only had to win one Kershaw game. Cubs in 6.

I said Cubs in 6 too. I just found the Lackey/Kluber thing funny.

The latest weather reports is they have the 3.5 to 4 hour window to get it in. Maybe slight drizzle to start. So there you go. Everybody can start drinking. Except for you, IKE South. Good god, that's a lot of booze
