Why the hell can't Almora play RF? I think he can make contact and he can bunt and he can run. I would rather see him than any of those options. I would also rather see Grandpa Rossy playing over Contreras right now.

Contreras had the best bat at C. I hate his demeanor behind the plate. I feel like he gets in pitchers heads. He seems to amp them up rather than calm them down.

I have no idea what the hesitation is with starting Almora.

He made that insane catch against the giants and then disappeared. Maybe he got banged up.

I'm not a baseball "Big Foot " like Don Tiny or JOR , but I'd bat Zobrist leadoff and move Fowler to 6th...this team needs the leadoff man to stir this drink

That's actually a pretty interesting idea. Zobrist has had some great at bats that have led to good things.

I'm with Walt, move Zobrist to leadoff and let's get on base. And make the whole team run laps any time someone doesn't hustle.

Given the way this postseason is going, it would be only fitting that the Cubs put up 10 on Kluber tonight. Really disappointed they won't win this at home, but I still contend they are the better team and talent will likely win out. I just hope the strike zone is a little more consistent this game. Only thing that really worries me is Lackey.

I wanted Lackey signed and part of the reason was his success in the post-season. Kluber was outstanding in his first start, but having just faced him a few days ago and going on 3 days rest, he shouldn't be as effective tonight. This has been a great series and I just hope it continues to be and goes 7 games, where the Cubs win the title. 7 games, so the team makes an extra 2.5-3 million on the extra game, which can go towards player salaries. They have already banked a lot of cash this playoff run that can help bankroll a guy like Jensen perhaps. The fact that the bats got quiet might be concerning to some, but it happened in the Dodger series too and then the rolled in 3 straight games scoring plenty, even against Kershaw. Even if things don't go well tonight, I still could see the Cubs taking the final 3. This team is capable of it.

Gotta score early. If not, that nervous energy is going to take hold of everyone and some sloppiness out on the field will ensue.

Contreras throws the ball to first way too hard. I hope it doesn't cost us at some point.

I'm convinced he's hopped up on speed or caffeine at the very least.

Was that the first clean first inning this series?

You would think Rizzo would tell him to calm it down a tad. No need to show off the cannon every single time.
