He did just go for 40/19, it's not out of the realm of possibility...

I didn't hear it, but I would be surprised if North knew who Jefferson was and how good the guy is.

Thus might be a good idea to have someone as a part of the show that follows sports other than Soccer and old NFL stats

All this being said, the Wolves still really suck and better not beat the Bulls, but knowing how we've been going lately in chicago sports they will sweep us in the home and home series.

Despite not having the worst record in the East, I think the Bulls are more than capable of losing to any team anywhere. In a 7-game series, the Bulls could probably go 7 with an NCAA team at this point...I'm not even 100% convinced they'd win.

I know its easy to get depressed about them, and honestly I havent watched a full game since Baku hooked me up with the NBA Pass, but they arent a terrible team. They are definitely better than Minnesota, Seattle, NY, Miami, and most likely better than the Clippers, Bobcats, Grizzlies, and Philly. I just think Deng's back injury has had a larger impact than people seem willing to grant, and Ben Wallace aging in dog years since he got here sucks. Kirk can still play, and he has played very well lately. I like him, Noah, Thablo, and Noc. I wish we could get rid of both Ben's though. Overall we really need to make a deal before the 21st or its time to start questioning Pax's job security

Looks as if Al Jefferson is just as quick with his wit as he is on his feet. When Kevin Garnett emphatically reminded Jefferson of his all-star selections - "11 years! 11 years!" - Jefferson replied with something that Garnett couldn't top. "I told him we both have one thing in common - no championships," Jefferson said. "He didn't like that too much."

That is awesome. Are KG and Jefferson buddies? If not that seems like a dick thing to say by KG, he usually seems alot more humble than that. I like KG's chances this year or next to win a title though.

I doubt it...not sure if they're buddies but I think KG is known for doing a lot of talking on the court..maybe not Gary Payton level, but more than his share...

The one thing that sucks for Jefferson and the Wolves is Mchale is still around. Im sure once Foye matures enough to be a legit threat with Jefferson, he will trade them both away for picks or something. That guy is a moron, and he will probably fuck up his certain top 5 pick next draft.

Food for thought: Was McHale even that great of a player?

Without a doubt. His low post moves and scoring were second to none. He pretty much invented alot of common low post moves used today. Every ESPN Classic or NBATV classic game I have ever seen of him makes me think he was one of the top 5 PF's ever.

You're probably right....

Time will tell on Foye vs. Roy...doesn't look good right now but people forget Foye had a lot of promising moments last year, a couple buzzer beaters. He could still be a great player

In general I haven't had THAT big of a problem with the way he's drafted, it's been more on the trade front...

But... the Joe Smith fiasco clearly crippled them for many years. Even though their draft picks would have been middle/late first round, still...that's young talent to develop you're missing out on. I look at that situation as everybody clearly does that, McHale was just stupid enough to get caught. And it really cost them

Yeah Im looking forward to seeing Foye back on the court, hopefully in the next 3-4 weeks. Right now Roy obviously has a huge edge, he is about as well rounded a player as you could ask for, and leading a Portland team to a possible playoff berth in one of the most stacked conferences in the NBA of the past 10 years without Oden. Portland really is a prime example of how a basketball team should play. Many kudos to Nate McMillan for the job he has done there.

Unless they decide to hold him out until the after all star break, I think Foye could be back soon. He's been in contact drills now in practice, so it's just a matter of time.

Edited to say I just heard on another board that Foye has been quoted as saying he'll play tonight..

Al is off to a fantastic start tonight, showing good range and awesome athleticism, as well as being able to bang with anybody down low. Yep... Tyrus is definitely as good as him

Did Mike North provide Stacey King with the Minnesota Scouting Report ? After Randy Foye gets fouled and goes to the line, King says that Randy Foye has fallen out of favor with Randy Wittman (Minnesota's coach), and that he fell out of the rotation.

Does Stacey King not realize that Foye was injured all season, and tonight was his first game ? Does King not realize that Foye and Jefferson are the two key building blocks for the future of Minnesota ?

(This could be a thumbs down for Critics on MJH as well)...

Shocking that he's be that unprepared.

Sebastian Telfair has to be the dumbest player in the NBA, and thats like being the shortest midget. His decision making was so bad it actually woke Johnny Kerr up in the 3rd quarter.

Not that bad of a game, 20/12...

Didn't hear Mikey make any kind of comment this morning...although I did hear him say when talking about Santana that he didn't know how many years he had left on his contract (until a few minutes later when someone told him)....I'm not sure how you could not know that unless you've been living under a rock, every single time his name was brought up in trade rumors, it was also said that he wanted an extension. Yeah Mike, they've got him locked up for 5 years, they just don't want him anymore

Well, he's moved on to disparaging Corey Brewer now, declaring him a bust

Now he says that he'd rather have Bedard over Santana (not factoring in money).

That's exactly what he's doing, and strangly enough, Fred agreed with him.

I'll be the first to say though that if I had a budget, I wouldn't want Santanta and his 6 year deal (or whatever he gets) at $25 million (estimated) on my payroll, and Bedard would be attractive, but he's not factoring in money to this, which puts him on an island with this opinion.

Thats bullshit. His stats kinda suck and he doesnt get alot of PT, but hes a rookie and its way too early to tell that. He has shown flashes of promise, and the jury is still out on that. Of course, I would bet 500-1 that Mike has no idea that Brewer got 18 boards in a game earlier this year.

Well, the funny thing about that is he did say he didn't know how he was defensively...That was supposed to be one of his strong points

He's still rail thin, needs to fill out a bit...but yeah it's hard to declare someone a bust in the middle of their 1st year on a horrible team that's still trying to find a direction

Hey guys I have a questions: Did Al shed a bunch of weight, because I could have sworn that in first few years in Boston, even last year that he was kind of "portly", but last night he looked rather slim.

Yeah I think a couple years back he was, but even last year with Boston when they were tanking games and giving him all the PT and shots he wanted he looked as athletic as he does this year in my opinion. He's gonna be a beast for the next decade pretty much. Seems like he can score on anyone in the league inside 20 feet. His midrange jumper this season is what has impressed me most about his improvement.

Edit:hmm just realized that was my 3000th post. Wasnt really planning a dick pic anyway.
