Unlimited booze and food? Considering people were lining up at Murphy's at 5 AM, probably worth the money if you are going to be down there all day.

yea good call, drinking from 5am until 7pm sounds like a good plan

I bet if you show up around 2:00 or 3:00 PM today, you could probably get a table somewhere. The amateur hour folks will be piss drunk by Noon and start bailing to head home.

Yeah, I totally misread greg's post. I think I mixed no fewer than 6 words around.

It is up there with the Earl Weaver's Manager's Corner rant.

I don't get the desire to be in Wrigleyville if you don't have a ticket. Now, to go there and pay ridiculous prices for the privilege to buy beer for outrageous prices and eat overpriced bar food....crazy. If you aren't in the ballpark, you aren't at the game, so there is no point.

I immediately perk up and listen whenever somebody starts a sentence with this line.

Whether it is at home, school or office, you just know it is going to be a great listen.

You are the same idiot that refers to Wrigley as the Shrine, and you mean to tell me you don't know why people want to hang out there?

The atmosphere around Wrigley is something. I can see why you'd want to hang out around there during a game if you don't have a ticket.

What that is worth to a certain someone is a different story. It might be worth nothing or it might be worth $250. Why do you care, ES?

you aren't in the ballpark for rooftop tickets either but i doubt anyone would say you "didn't go to the game" if that's how you saw it.

with wrigley you can experience a game outside the stadium. it's pretty easy to understand.
