Don't know if that even applies still but the Kings and the great Anze Kopitar are in town. For those that care it's an early 6pm start .

Jonathan Quick is out with groin issues, so it's a second consecutive backup-goalie game, but Peter Budaj seems to be doing well enough so far. Should be a win, hope it is, though I hope I'm not looking at it vis-a-vis a simultaneous Cubs loss. And yes, OHHH OHHH EDZO, THEY STILL HAVE IMPRESSIVE SIZE ALL AROUND.

Toews scores his first of the year on the power play. A good omen for the Cubs?

3-0 win, first shutter of the year for Crow, Hossa with an ENPPG to ice it. The Kings aren't quite what they used to be but it's always good to beat them convincingly.

best game of the year.

Hossa-Anisimov-Panarin looked really good as a line.

It did, though it can't replicate the Panarin-Kane magic. I hope we can see Kane and Hossa rotate on that line. We're still short one legit first-line wing and I don't know how to fit him in or what to flip to get him, whoever he'd be. Something to worry about closer to Inauguration Day.

Top line with Panik and Toews, where he seems to be helping Toews get his game back. Panarin-Toews-Kane is only the Nuclear Option.
