Not before the election, while not the same scenario as Ford/Nixon that could be seen as improper by the undecided voters out there. Additionally, I would not be surprised if this was Wiener's "Get out of Jail" card for his alleged pedophilia. If his wife accessed her emails once from his computer, or if there was any syncing going on it would be easy for those emails to show up on his computer. He knew he had them and was waiting for a time to use them.

What do you mean? My understanding is that they are e-mails to her from Clinton on his computer, which she shared at least occasionally. Who knows what other computers Hillary and her aides used. Maybe there are classified e-mails from Hillary on your machine. Better check!

Let me know if I've got this straight.

1. Hillary deleted tens of thousands of e-mails after the subpoena, but stated those were all of a personal nature and that she did not delete or destroy evidence that was pertinent (i.e., classified e-mails).

2. This laptop is discovered with many thousands of e-mails to and from Hillary. If it turns out there are classified e-mails on there, and those were not included in the ones turned over to the FBI (and therefore were part of the group that was deleted), isn't it an open and shut case of perjury?

Comey shouldn't have released this until he had something concrete. This really appears to be a political version of the whole who's on first joke. She may be guilty but to insinuate that she is without having anything to base it on is really stupid. If she is found innocent then the usual Clinton conspiracy theorists are going to believe that there was governmental subterfuge involved. It gets old after awhile.

I just read an interesting opinion on this. Their take was Comey had to come out with it so not to be accused of playing a favorite later. The hypothetical was if it came out after the election HRC is guilty of something he could be accused of sitting on a smoking gun before the election. So theoretically Comey could have made the wrong decision either way.
