In 2016 the AL had a better record at home and away.

I think there are a lot of bad teams in the NL but a team like the Cubs is probably still a 100 win team in the AL. In fact they would love to have the DH come to the NL.

Highly doubtful.

Which is kind of surprising as the AL is at more of a disadvantage in NL parks than the NL is in AL parks.

The interleague record says otherwise.

That has already been explained. Keep up.

How has it been "explained"? The AL has a winning record in the NL parks.

Also explained. Keep up.

No.

The difference between a team's DH and the ninth position player on an NL team is much greater than the difference in hitting skill between a NL pitcher and an AL pitcher.

Yes it is.

Not in Chicago.

Only about 75% of the time over the last 80 years.

Until the next argument when you insist Schwarber is better than Nelson Cruz or something.

The Cubs are the best team in MLB in 2016. The Cubs sit starters on a daily basis. Keep up.

Completely irrelevant to the AL vs NL discussion. One good team does not make the NL better as a whole. An MLB executive should know this basic fact.

The cubs should jump all over Tomlin, he's a buster. If Jake is decent, the cubs got game 6... I believe Jake can go 6 or 7 and exit with a lead.

Jake is going to be the one guy who has no chance to pitch in a possible game 7. If he is dealing, you let him go out there and throw until his arm falls off. None of this 82 pitch count and get pulled crap.

Given that the Cub fans in this thread keep ignoring the empirical data, it apparently needed to be said again.

JORR brought up Kyle Schwarber. The Cubs aren't your average team. The Cubs are stacked. Keep up.

That does not prove or disprove JORR's argument.

The pointless argument is the one that says the league that was 35 games under .500 is as good as the one that pounded it. Keep up.

I doubt there's any difference between NL and AL if the DH was universal.

The AL and NL both use the same rules when the teams play each other.

The purposely idiotic refusal to acknowledge professional DHs being on the AL bench or starting line up is good stuff.

He"ll probably have 82 by the 5th though. Jake tends to lose it pretty quickly these days even when he's on.

Most AL teams don't have a "professional DH" and some NL teams do, or at least they have guys who would be if they played in the other league. This is a dumb argument to explain AL dominance which also exists in NL ballparks when no DH is used. Try again.

The record is the record. Why is this still being discussed?

It happens in every sport and makes no difference once it comes to the finals. The East sucks in the NBA and the Cavs won the final. The East sucks in the NHL and the Pens won the finals. The NL sucks in MLB and the Cubs... 8)
