I gotta think long and hard about Ross.

No way, has to be Ross. No mistakes this game.

Start Lester, with Ross catching...goal 3-4 innings...then Hendricks goes 4-5 with Contreras...Chapman available for the 9th.

Give Hendricks the ball and have Lester back him up.

Gotta win 6 before you can play 7 .

Yeah you throw anything and everything you have to win tonights game. And then you worry about tomorrow if tomorrow arrives.

Seriously. I'm jealous of these other Cub fans who are super comfortable with a 5 run lead like there's no chance at blowing it

Shut em down

Guy threw 20 pitches. He's fine.

I suppose if I had to pick I would say Tribe in 7.
It sure has been something to watch.

Lackey deserves the ball. That's why they signed him. Big Game John.

Variance seems to have really benefited the Cubs the past few games.

They've had a lot of luck. Naquin normally catches that. Wind blowing out greatly helped Baez's grand slam. The Yankees being bad, which freed up Chapman, has helped them immensely. Maddon leaving Tampa was a huge boost, too.

Everyone is pretending "don't have your best reliever close, use him in the most important situation" is some great new idea but stat people have been pushing this for at least 12 years. Terry Francona's Red Sox tried it before settling into orthodoxy and closing with Foulke all the time.

Lou Pinella used it all the time when Marmol was great. Dempster and Wood closed. Marmol was the dude to saved their ass in 6th, 7th or 8th innings.

I told you all we would be here days ago. That being said don't put Ross with Hendricks. Wilson Contreras has been solid and his bat is needed.
