I have no problem bringing in Chapman earlier. A five-run lead is not insurmountable. One guy hits a home run in that spot and it's a two-run game. Chapman's arm is not going to fall off. There's only 1 game left.

Tonight Ross should be catching. He has more experience and that matters in a game 7.

Also for the people who have been down on Heyward, that was a great throw last night that Soler would not have made.

Soler could make the throw. It's everything else about RF he's not so goot

Kyle Hendricks performs no matter who is catching. I'd go with Contreras because I wouldn't change anything from the Game 6 batting order. But Ross would be fine as well. It's just that Hendricks has thrown to Contreras for almost the entirety of the second half and postseason. Why change it now?

I think the Cubs get to Kluber tonight. They were really close in Game 4.

Here we are.....game7. The Cubs facing Kluber for the 3rd time in 8 days and the ERA leader who closed out the NLCS going on full rest. It's been a great series and it's no surprise to me that the Cubs have battled back as they have. Based on the way things have gone in the series, perhaps it's accurate to say the Cubs have the road field advantage.

Next time you call Kap, you need to call him by the of words he uses on callers. Or just use a really really gay word for him- like blueberry or tulip. No better yet, call him chicken wing.

Excellent, I'll be excited next time I hear Kap say, "next we go to Steve in Elmhurst". And believe me, it will be a first time for that!

Hope they're looking for any opportunity to get on base including small ball.

If both teams were told this series could be reduced to one game under the current conditions I think the Indians would have said yes and the Cubs said no

The Indians also seemed to be going for this type of series with how they set everything up. I guess we'll see if it works.

I think the rain is coming 3 hours after first pitch. The way these games have been dragging and with perhaps a lot of pitching moves, that might be the 6th or 7th inning. So, if it's suspended, and they haven't used Lester, he starts tomorrow. So you might want that.

They bumped up the start time by seven whole minutes to try and beat the rain!

Kluber pitching 3 times in 8 days and the Indians blowing a 3-1 lead? Clearly the momentum favors the Cubs and the Indians are under a little more pressure.

The only way some guys can not lose their minds in a warzone is to operate with the mentality that they are already dead. So saying that it was a successful season no matter what happens, is not a cop-out. It's often just a solid anti-anxiety thinking.

Im not even a Cubs fan and Im having to tell myself that when I think about what will begin in a few hours. I used to work down there for Aramark and I have strong family ties to the team. I really hope for them, and the city, that this finally happens.
