I might not agree entirely that IMU could step into a GM office today but I do think he could step into a field manager's office and perform competently

you're overcomplicating it

I didn't watch an inning of the game yesterday as I had a free screening of Hacksaw Ridge. In fact, I have only watched one game in full. I was on my way home yesterday and heard his pre game press conference and was thinking, do people actually believe him?

Zero pressure. It's like the Packers in the playoffs from my perspective. I'm not rooting for you and your winning would be just a moment of irritation.

respect 9 innings

in all honesty, I think that Joe is a good manager of people and moods. He's not been the greatest in game manager this series. I assume he leans on Davy for that stuff anyway. Batting Montero instead of Schwarber, bringing Chapman in for 3 innings at a time, that stuff I disagree with, even though it worked out. Tito Jr. has outmanaged him for the most part.

I might agree with a lot of this, but if he wins this, then it's hard to say that he didn't do what he set out to do. Of course, he's got the horses to do so....

Tito has had MANY mistakes. They're just not being magnified because everyone considers Indians lucky to be in the WS.

On the brink of a World Series title and can't stop talking about the White Sox.

This one is just as much on the umpire as it is on Maddon. That said, I am just beside myself with anger at Maddon. If the Cubs lose, Maddon is going to never be able to live this down. Might ruin his career.

Still stunned we won in spite of some real bad managerial decisions.

some guy called into Mully & Hanely this morning saying how Joe had a script and he stuck to it, even though it wasn't working...and he was saying this like it was a good thing. Like he wasn't wavering from his plan.....if you're managing based on a script then managers truly don't matter
