Spiegs called him on that during Transition yesterday. Dan was starting a monologue about the Cubs season if they lose and Spiegs said "Hang on, Mr. Only Championships Matter". Dan quickly said "that still applies but it does not take away from the greatness of this season". Paraphrased.

That "Well, they still had a great season..." was something a championship caliber organization would never say and fans shouldn't, either?

There are now some add ons to Dan's original Championship statement. It's all about synergy.

This is a defining show for dan. He openly stated how his joy was intensified by the station affiliation and all his incredible relationships he has created with the team.
