I watched. I saw a guy on one leg that had a good 4 game stretch. Nothing about him over a long season says he's as great as he's made out to be.

Uh no. They played him because he was cleared to play and could hit better than any other DH on the roster.

The Cubs are not about showcasing their players. The management team has definitively proven that their entire rebuild was about winning the World Series. I don't see any ulterior motives with their strategy.
