Devin Hester opening the Super Bowl with a Touchdown or Fowler's leadoff HR last night?

Fowler's shot for me, but that's only because the Cub are my #1 team.

That being said, Hester's TD return had me jumping up and down in jubilation as well.

7-0 to start a football games means more than a 1-0 1st inning lead in baseball.

So it's Hester. Even though his TD didn't matter in the end. But we didn't know that at the time.

Is that simply your supposition or is there actual data to back that up?

I would suspect it's quite the opposite.

The New Girl Chained to Beardown's Furnace fed him the data.

Unsurprising ... he probably feeds himself soup with a knife.

It is Hester. The Bears were underdogs and not picked to have much of a shot. Everyone besides Charlie Sheen thought the Cubs were going to win. The touchdown by Hester sent a message that the Bears were here to win(and Rex Grossman sent a message in the fourth quarter we were here to lose).

Hester if for no other reason than a kickoff return is one of the most exciting plays in sports and it lasts longer than a home run.

I remember everyone thinking that game was over after Hester did that and Chris Harris picked off Manning on the next possession. Little did we know...

Question,
They where in first for the entire season but 1 day. Has anyone else done that before and if so when was the last time?

Did the 05 White Sox lead from start to finish?

Tigers did it in 1984. Yes, the White Sox did it in 2005. Though it did get to 1.5 lead in September.

I'm sure some of those late 1990s Yankees teams did it. And probably a lot of Yankees teams in the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s. Reds of the 1970s probably did it.

It's probably been done more than you think.

Nothing more dramatic than IMU claiming Cubs fans won't settle for just one. I guess he will be turning in his Cub fan card in a few years if the Cubs don't win another World Series.
