Nice job by Larry not correcting St. Joe Sheehan on talking about how the last "12 years" has given us the stories of 1908 and 1918, two "original franchises" with "long-suffering" fans. Sheehan went on about the Cubs and Red Sox and Larry, who protested on Twitter when some no-name ESPN host left out the Sox in Chicago's recent championship roll call, said nothing, instead asking, "How great is Theo?"

Dan went on a big thing how ricketts and Cubs in general help on step cancer camp. That's a big part in why the ball playing conflates into such an emotional feeling for the Cubs and the win. Ok good if true.

I listened to the first 3 hours today. Bernstein is tethered right now letting people tell their heartfelt Cubs experiences and stories. However, with every caller, you can sense the seething and percolating hate he is suppressing with every fiber of his miserable being. I can't wait until he loses it and snaps. That type of dysfunctional personality is a ticking time bomb of negativity and arrogance. Hang in there Dan. You'll be unleashed soon. After the parade and festivities tomorrow, Demon Dan will be back to demean you, yell at you and insult the memory of your dearly departed family members. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick...

As for Dan, he spent that break hunkered in the studio, a strange little smile on his face, watching us drink his beer.

I could see why some of the boys took him for snobby. He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn't normal around the Score studios. He strolled, like a man in a park without a care or a worry in the world, like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from his callers. Yeah, I think it would be fair to say...
