Thoroughly entertaining for a PG-13 horror comedy. i thought toward the end it was copping out a little bit but it finished strong and had just the right amount of a comic touch. opening sequence defines the tone of the film. the cast is excellent, and once the shit hits the fan it's pretty much pure win.

some real nice tension and some creative creature designs. seems like at times it's an homage to "gremlins" too. the whole thing worked for me. i think it's an instant classic. glad i got to see it.

:D :D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

Noted U2 fan Adam Scott is in this, that's more than enough reason to see it.

he's surprisingly "straight" in this. no goofy antics or anything. he does a nice job. loved him in "piranha 3D" and especially "step brothers".

happy to see this movie is a minor blockbuster. has already made $20 million over its budget. for a movie i haven't seen many people talk about, i'm hoping this finds an even bigger audience in the netflix/home media market.

Oh it will. Big Blu-Ray and streaming money will flow in. Probably be a big "Christmas Classic" niche title.

i'd like to see that. this generation could use a good holiday horror classic.

although a lot of people missed the boat on "santa's slay". that was pretty good.

Cinemax is totally trying to make this movie happen and I love it. James Rolfe (AVGN) featured it as his 31st Day of Monster Madness this year.

Xfinity seems to rarely give any movies 3 stars or better, but they do give this one 3 stars.

I'm really hoping this makes "classic" status. It's good stuff.
